I think it's ****ing dangerous! 24h behind the wheel without any stop to rest is not an achievement. If you want to get killed that's fine but don't take innocent people's lives with you. Lorry drivers are not allowed to do more than 8h non-stop, there is a reason behind this.

mate you try and do 2000 miles and tell me how long it takes, its gonna be MORE than 86mph considering most cars do 300ish miles to a tank, then theres traffic, ferry crossing
average stop will take 15mins unless he does a pony and theres a extra time,,, he WILL stop to stretch legs for a bit too as most people do
when i go germany thats about 300 or so miles and that takes a few hours,,,,, and i do some of it fairly fast too

Don't know where you're going from/to, but John o'Groats to Eastbourne works out at 758 miles, so I reckon you're going a funny old route to do 900 miles!
Furthest I've driven in a Scooby is Freiburg in South Germany to Preston - Aprox. 14 hours driving! The real pi$$ take is that the journey across Europe to Calais was 2/3 distance but less than half the time!!!
Distance was around 750 miles and the Scooby was faultless!

Im pretty much at john o groats,a9 to inverness,a9 to perth area, motorway to glasgow area then motorway all the way down to ashford, oh now i see eastbourne yeah so it prob is near 800 rather than 900 but its still a long distance.

1800 miles to Cherkasy, Ukraine in a 1990 Dodge Caravan last summer. Only one breakdown - alternator, in Poland. Full of humanitarian aid for an orphanage in Ukraine and did the trip fine with just me and a mate.

Adelaide to Alice Springs via the Oodnadatta Track in a Subaru Leone Wagon in 1986. We returned via back roads east of Alice Springs to Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock.
Not sure of the mileage, but several thousand mainly on dirt roads, quite rough in places, where we saw maybe a dozen cars a day, sometimes only a couple. We carried two spare wheels, about 60 litres of water, and 10 gallons of spare petrol. Car was perfect the whole way, though we could have done with air con when the shade temperature got up to 47C!

I've done Cardiff to Dundee and similar plenty of times in my Legacy, never had a problem apart from the one time I had an airlock in my heater matrix that decided to randomly correct itself while on the M6 leaving me low on coolant. I believe that's a Legacy-specific problem anyway and it did no harm.
Not sure if the comment about the TMIC scoop not working at high speeds is going to be a problem because the small legacy one works just fine due to being acomplete fluke better design.
Best advice I can give is to do the trip overnight and to plan a few non-motorway sections into your route to keep you alert. I like the A701 on my Dundee trips, but that depends on where abouts in the north of Scotland you're coming from.
Also, you do realise it'd be cheaper to fly, right?

Me and my old boss did 1774miles in 3 and a half days from Cumbria to Lithuania (Vilnus). Would have taken alot less if the bloody Polish and German poice wernt such Tw*ts.
We drove 2 Lada Samara 1.5's over and sold them over there. That paid for all the fuel, food, accomadation and flights back (1993)
Was a good trip, good fun and you will be supprised to here, we both got 120mph out of them on the autobahn's
