They all smile and wave and act friendly to the Brit tourists but they HATE them! They teach the Cypriot kids in schools, that the Brits were like the *****!!!!! Its bloody awful!!!! That why I hate them false Cyprus Tourist board adverts proclaiming it the 'friendly' island. Is it ****!!!!

What a load of bollocks.

a) So you disagree with another countries political system, that means you don't trade with them? How idiotic and indicative of why the west is hated so much because they think they are always right and try to impose their own beliefs and systems around the world.

b) Why should they have minimum wage restrictions in another sovereign nation? Quite often their wages are extremely low by our standards but very liveable in their countries. You would prefer they got nothing?

c) Probably won't happen anyway

With all due respect, In Indian schools, at least real history is being taught, not the hatred. Unlike in Western countries, when the real historical torture becomes so negligible to inform(that explosive commentators of Western countries can be quite proud of!), and existing charity case state of it is highlighted in curriculum. Do you think it will be better to beat the **** out of the tourists, rather than being nice to them; even if it's a two-faced scenario? Do you think such countries should build iron walls around them to stop you coming in, and experience something different? Why is it alright to target such countries for cheap holidays and cheap materials, then? Do you understand that Western countries' economies will collapse, if they stop doing business with these countries? Do you actually understand that stopping this dependency cycle would bring the world economy to standstill? What are you gonna do, then?

Again, please just don't bother going to such countries, and don't do business deals with them, throw this integrating world into history to like it was once upon a time, and stay indoors if you disregard them so much. That will be a great way forward, wouldn't it? If you are retaliating their hatred, as a citizen of a very civilized country and a follower of a civilized culture, your retaliation must be a great way to patch the differences, I suppose???

Some understanding would go a long way in the cases like Cyprus. Cyprus's attitude towards British tourists needs improving, fair enough. But this is to be understood that their wounds may be taking time to heal, repect for their hospitality will heal it quicker IMO; rather than expecting Niagra falls of love oozing from the bottom of their hearts for you, and sugar cubes dropping from their eyes for your cup of tea LOL

BTW, every tourist is a diplomat in some capacity, not to forget.
