I had the same prob doing about 60 when a female roe deer ran out wham front right corner impact managed to get it sorted without a claim Like the rest of us spent a fortune getting it looking good I was so pi***d off I reversed back shone the spots into the bush and went after the sod I gave it a ride in my scoob on the way to the plate so I'll have the last laugh.

On a serious note I run a deer farm and the big problem is that the price of wild venison has been crapp for 5-6 years so nobody bothers shooting them including poachers hence in some places they are slowly getting out of control.

I recently saw a news clip showing the police in the highlands using a wind powered whistle attached on the bonnet to scare the deers away. This may be worth investigating to those of us who drive in the sticks

Yeah, was very unlucky..... have driven this road every weekday for the past four years, never even seen a deer let alone hit one

I am just thankfull that I was in traffic going about 30mph, it is a national limit road and I usualy bounce along it about 60mph+....... I dread to think what may have happened if I had hit it at that speed

All in all, looks like the car is fine, I have got the headlights sorted (thanks Markus ), I am in the process of organising a new bonnet. Sooo glad it didnt hit the wings

Cheers guys

Paul

Question

POC

Both the sites I listed in my earlier reply to your thread have new bonnets listed at £140 (it says they are for 1997 onwards but I'm sure this is only the vents that are different??)

Question

Painful!
I've no I deer about your Q's
But i reckon it'll cost 'big bucks'or an arm and four legs.
'Best trade up for a new sti, i reckon that big scoop would have sucked it in and spat it out.
You could go to prodrive in 'Bambi-ry' near oxon to convert it.
(Sorry, I couldn't help myself)
