Worlds Best Watch
#31
I have a habbit of losing watches in the engines of cars, and I used to work for a major computer mfg as a test engineer and had to remove watches and jewlery, so don't wear one. Even if I had enough money I still wouldn't buy one of these massively over rated watches. As to what *best* watch, as long as it works and it's accurate. I donated my last watch, cost me 175 quid, to some relatives.

I'd say anything that is going to outlast the owner, which probably isnt most of the watches made in the last 20 years, or anything covered in diamonds designed to appeal to Premiership footballers or rap stars.
My grandfather was a watch repairer, and he had people coming to him who were well into retirement with their gold watches they had been given on their 21st birthdays for cleaning that were still going strong after all those years.
I doubt most of them were hugely expensive, although probably cost a fair bit at the time, but were well made enough to last 60 odd years without falling apart or packing up.
