OK thats whats worrying me, Durham St is 1 way AWAY from Kennington Lane....
You sure about the road names ?

Camberwell and heading for the A2 maybe ? Or you were heading INTO town to the A1?

lol this is messed up. Not many main roads that sat nav use turn left onto Kennington Lane. Sure it was not Kennington Road?
As for the location you mentioned the police being. I know a few places round there that the police are based but Durham St aint one of them.

What other road names do you know, before you reached this point?

Coming from Camberwell I would assume you used Camberwell new Road to get up towards Kennington Lane... Up by the Oval ? Or Walworth Road up towards Elephant and Castle... Both would bring you near to Kennington Lane.

Aaaah I know where you were... Newington Butts by any chance ?

Newington Butts.

Love that name - makes me smile every time I pass, unless I've been sat like a tw@t in a queue so one bus can pass....

i can only use the route guide for the journey from home to Medlar street and not the other way round. here it is in reverse. it may be slightly different if there was a one way system
Medlar street
Camberwell new road
Durham street
Kennington lane
Victoria street and so on

Another badly planned bus lane, with stupid priority lights!

There is no way in hell you can go from Durham St to Kennington Lane, and if you did, and admitted it in a statement, I would retract it lol

Coming from Camberwell New Rd, the sat nav would take you up on to Harleyford, South Lambeth Rd, under the railway arches, on to Vaux Bridge etc....
Not got a clue where you were going lol

Glad im not the only one thinking this though. Sara.... sort it out luv!
hehe the fact you didnt get nicked suggests you were not actually there.

If you were by the police you might have been turning left from Clapham or Brixton Rd into Camberwell New Road.
Til I know where you were..... thats me done lol

Oh now you say that !! lol
Like I say it would have taken you up Harleyford St etc with nav.
Still not sure exactly where you had the bump though, to be turning left. Were you following a bend in the road or turning into another road?

If you were coming to a bend in the road near The Oval cricket ground that would make sense. Pathetic piece of road there. Harleyford St, just near Durham St

Hopefully an easy question for you Sara...
Was it before or after crossing the river??

That should narrow it down to a few square million km....

there was a huge sign up above the drive i pulled into, it said Kennington Place (police training). the road was very long, i only turned up it to get petrol then i turned round and went back to the lights and turned left to carry on home. i ended up outside Hamleys you dont want to know the rest but it got dark

my sat nav driving is legendary

Before you cross the river on the way home, not on the way there lol.
The River Thames we mean, the big one with the big bridges over it...

Nope your right, I dont wanna know how you got to Hamleys lol
Heading to the A1 from Vauxhall, you should have been heading towards Blackfriars Bridge etc, up through town that way... not through central london lol

"the road was very long" but unlike this thread............. it went somewhere

the reason i ended up by Hamleys was because i couldnt see the route on the screen as there were so many symbols on the map. i had to guess where the red line was

i havnt changed any settings from when i got the European card so i think its set for everything to appear

where exactly were you going from and to via the sat nav..

Didn't know there was a "round the mulberry bush" route option.

The evidence of what happened is on the CCTV she's trying to get. She's hardly likely to be trying to track that down if it does not support her statement that the bus had been stationary, she was making a correct left turn that was not in the bus lane as that had ended when the driver pulled away from the stop into the side of her moving car.

At this point she was heading the wrong way down a one way road lol.
Its difficult to obtain CCTV footage if you have no idea where you were!

Fingers crossed this all gets sorted out, but at the moment, the main thing is to work out where the bloody accident happened.
