Turbo coming next week and my bloody catch tank hasn't turned up yet. Was hoping to do that phase of the work this wk end, then turbo and down pipe together the following wk end. Looks like i'm going to have to do it all together..think i'm going to be burning the midnight oil on that day. All the other bits are here and i'm itching to start.

This always happens!!! It happened to me and the best laid plans seem to go out the window!!!

We were still assembling the car on the Thursday morning before the remap on the Friday!!!

Hopefully this time around it shouldn't happen (says he crossing fingers and toes, touching wood and snapping a wishbone)!!!

Tell me about it. Thought i'd play it safe, so i ordered the parts on the 4th April and the only part to fail to turn up has been the catch tank from Flat4. They have offered a refund, but that still doesn't leave me much time to source another. I may be going the Spec-R route as their tank has 3 inlets, where as all the others seem to have 2 so you have to t piece 2 into 1. Just got to find out how quick they can get one to me and the price.

I got the Roger Clark one on mine and recommend it... Expensive, but good... Don't get their fitting kit mind, it's sh*te!!!

Looks like i'm going to have to cancel the catch can from Flat 4 as it still hasn't arrived yet and the final fitting is a week today. I had wanted to do the breather mods today..well guess those plans have been scuppered, and to think i was mr sensible for once and ordered all the parts a month early. Well looks like next sat is going to be a long day..fit new turbo, downpipe and Oil catch can and re-route breathers. Why does nothing go according to plan with me?

Think i'm going to try spec-r as i spoke to the guy and he said his tanks have 3 inputs instead of 2, so if he can do next day delivery the deal is sealed.

I was planning on contacting him by this weekend for the accomodation details. The reason he leaves that till late is that he wife might come down, and I don't think he books until he knows, as that influences where he stays.

The day of the big fitting is tomorrow for me. TD05-20g turbo, Hayward and Scott Afterburner widemouth downpipe, alloy header tank (big thanks to Kytey! ) and re-routing all the breathers and installing a Spec-R alloy oil catch can. May the force be with me!

What a day! Not long finished after starting at 8 this morn...13 hrs
Things didn't go according to plan to say the least. Strangely enough the turbo was the easiest part. Re-routing the breathers, wasn't too bad but changing the turbo inlet pipe and customising an entry for the turbo was a nightmare, still not 100% sure of it but i've got a week and a half to make alterations albeit with a self/Andy imposed limited of 3000rpm for the time being. Converting a 20g to snorkel entry isn't for the faint hearted, Dam phase 1 manifolds! Still its done now.

Nice fella, if you use a version 3 power steering pump you can use the turbo as front entry along with a version 1 manifold with a few alterations to the fuel lines, which enable a more direct air flow.

I was waiting on a Catch can from them and had to cancel as it still hadn't arrived by saturday. Scott refunded the money to my paypal. I'd do the same if i were you Chris and try another company and insist on next day delivery.

Well then. Yee Haa. It's sorted.
You won't believe this but it was a brand new plug F**d less than 20miles
NGK PFR7B plugs as well.

To say I'm happy is an understatement.
Got a spare turbo now too. I think I'll have a few tins after.
Can't believe what the problem was though due to the symptoms.

The car is not moving now until Andy comes down Wednesday.
