I got it from the Hardware store (Lowe's, don't think you have them overseas, it's similar to Home Depot). It's Garage Door weather stripping.

again, top stuff!!!!

really like the lip

do you need the 18's to clear your brakes?? i think a 17" wheel would help to lower it a bit more....... (make brakes look bigger )
and perhaps the vers 5/6 grille...... (don't know if it works with your bumper though??)

but still amazing!!!!!!!!

Yes, the 18's were needed to clear the brakes, they're Rotora 355x32mm 6-piston BBK.
The Ver 5/6 Grill doesn't flow well with the Sport bumper, there's gaps on the sides of the grill that look unsightly. Thanks for comments though!

It's on my 'wish' list.
My plans now;
the exterior is pretty much done for now ( I still would like to get the rear brake calipers red to match the front calipers), I'd like to focus on finishing the interior. Then get it re-tuned and max out this turbo (VF-37), Probably between 300-350 whp, depending on fuel octane w/ at least 4 different fuel maps. I'm going to get an extra set of wheels for some sticky track tires. I also plan on getting a quicker steering column & Whiteline tierod ends & ball joint kit.
Then I would like to upgrade to an HKS GT2835 twin-scroll turbo, and get it around 400 WHP. Once I have the power and need the extra rubber for grip; Then A CF widebody, with 5X114 hubs, GDB front subframe , GDB A-Arms, and GDB rear lateral links, and wider wheels & tires to help fill the fenders.

Thanks!

Had another track day on the may 31st. It was a really good time.

\/ Had a little 'off' due to some hard-core tank slapping hot laps, I hate street tires on the track, they get too greasy on the track out here in Arizona.

It was my last one until Labor day. It's already well over 100*F daily here already, it hit 111*F at my house in the shade a couple weeks ago, not really fun weather for track days, IMO.

Here's some random shots from the past couple track days.

Going to get a CF roof made over the Summer.
Trying to get it featured in a mag and get some sponsors going, I'd like to have it in the '09 SEMA show out in Vegas, hopefully I can get the last few things I'm thinking about ironed out before then, including the fire suppression system, dashboard flocked, and some lightweight door cards made.

So the CF roof fell through, but I submitted some photos to a US mag, we'll see how that turns out. Got a new, proper racing helmet, same kind as the Stig! I should have a few more track-oriented parts installed before I get back on the track in Sept. Don't think I'm going to turn up the boost until I get some more track time and more safety gear I also would like to get some solid, consistent lap times so I can compare the times after I turn up the boost.

It was custom. It's similar to the Burn-up front lip. it's made by Steve, owner of a company in California called Aerosims, I'm going to get a CF widebody kit from them sometime in the future, then possibly a CF roof too. Widebody has always been on my list, though. After I finish up some more safety mods (fire supression system, proper rollcage padding, etc), maybe upgrade the rollcage (add a few more bars) and upgrade to 5X114 hubs, I'm thinking of getting a little wider wheels, maybe 8.5". Then I can run wider tires, thinking between 235-255?

I've got some really cool shots coming soon, so stay tuned!

Cool Back on Track!!

I know what your saying about the mirrors. But they work and they were only $90 a piece, I'm sure one day I'll get some real WRC CF mirrors, but not any time soon.
Decided I could not wait until Sept. to get back out on the track, So I signed up for an Early morning event Aug. 16th.
I installed a camera mount and a front skid plate before the event, the latter to protect the engine from track debris and improve under car aero a little.

This one was at Firebirds' 'West' Track. 1.1 Miles, Same one I did the Last time attack at. It's pretty fun, I think I've finally dialed in the Coilovers, But now I need new tires, Current set lasted 6 track days and over 10k thousand road miles, Which I think is decent, They still have about 4/32" of tread left, but I want to test out some different tires. According to my handy new tool, 'DynoLicious' I was hitting 1.02 G's in the corners, which is damn good on 225-series street tires, IMO. Hopefully I won't have to mess with the settings too much with the new rubber.
I forgot to bring my Camera. I woke up at 3:30 am to get to the track by 4:30 am, I knew I was bound to forget something.
I ran the first two sessions solo, So I could mess with the suspension settings a little, And then gave my Friend Evan a ride for the last two sessions.
But there were a few people snapping some pictures, Here's a couple pictures I found so far.

Here's a couple car I passed in my group.

Here's a link If anyone's interested in seeing some of the other cars that were out there.
Firebird West Track day- Aug 16th

All in all, A great day, It did get up to 105*F ambient before I left on my way home, and it was 108*F by the time I got home. Times like these make me wonder if the lack of air con is worth the 40 lbs or so of weight reduction, I keep telling myself it is! I'm going to get a cool suit, hopefully that will help with the heat.

Thumbs up Just a little update..........

So it's been a couple months, so I thought I'd share with you all my 'progress'

Been testing out different suspension and alignment settings, with new tires, I was holding 1.09 Lateral G's in the corners, with a peak of 1.17 G's (This was with a passenger, as well), which is damn good for street tires. I think I'll have to beef up the oil and fueling systems before I swap to R-comps and really start pushing it in the corners so I don't kill the bearings.
I've done a couple more track days, tried out the car show thing and got 3rd place at Hot Import Nights in AZ; which was good considering I did ZERO prep work for the show, it was still dirty from the track day the week before!

Also have a few more goodies for the Subi on the way and in the works.

New quick release and Prodrive 350mm leather steering wheel are on the way.

Installed Prova Brake and Clutch covers.

Also installed a 17" convex racing mirror; Rollcage mounted, so no more shaky mirror!

I have an Antenna delete plate I need to install, as well as an MRT Brake MC brace. Also working on getting Rotora 13" 4-pot rear brakes to match the fronts, instead of color matching the brembos.

New tires, Dunlop Z1 Star specs, 225/40/18

Next track event is this weekend (2-days!) Should be a good time, as always.

Thanks!

Got some new tires

Installed the new steering wheel, feels great!

Got a new mascot, Mr. Bill, from Sat. night live

His own custom 2-pt harness

Got him over 120 MPH down the straight!

Mr Bill Clip Link

Had another great weekend at the track, raced and saw a bunch of great cars, and saw more wrecks in this one weekend than all year, it was crazy. I had a small boost leak that was limiting me to .7 bar of boost, but I finally got a timed lap in, an even with the poorly running engine, I was able to get around PIR road course (11 turn, 1.6 miles) in 1:16.3. and that was on street tires. I was able to hold 1.1 lateral G's with 1.15 peak before the tires were contacting the inner fenders. When I install the new brakes, I'm going to raise the rear suspension a little bit and get a BFH in there and see if I can't knock it out and get some more clearance, I'd like to get 18X8.5" wheels and 235 or 245 width tires under the fenders before I go full widebody.

Run counter-clockwise

Last years time trials (TTB) STI overall winner posted a 1:11 with R-comps, and a local shop-sponsored road racing Subi Wagon posted a similar 1:11. So 5-sec off the pace with the way it was running is a great sign. I should be getting the brakes tomorrow, and then I will install ASAP. Also need to replace the rear view mirror, My Nephew somehow found a way to break my new mirror with his forehead at the track; it wasn't during the race, it was just getting out of the car!

Some people had a bad weekend. This guy went off two cars in front of me, I had to dodge flying debris and a spinning Lotus, Crazy.

Next day I had a Ford GT (The big expensive one) Spin out in front of me, lose control, and plow rear first into a wall at speed, probably totaled.

Then this past weekend a local shop brought my car to a charity car show at a nearby Subaru dealership.
