Painted them with a mix of clearcoat with a hint of black paint mixed in. Got it right the 2nd mix.

So after what seems like forever, I finally had time on my birthday to teardown the interior and fix all the little issues behind the dash that have arisen with a couple years of street and track driving. Took the whole dash apart and cleaned EVERYTHING, and made sure every last screw was snug and secure. now the whole car is starting to get more streetable. I'm planning on getting it re-tuned by weeks' end!

New CF Subaru badge

Going back together.....

My Boy Adam making sure the laptop connects before we go to the dyno......

Success!!

Moved the EDFC so I could actually see it.

Looks better in person

The Next day..................
all back together again.

Went on a few test drives the past few days, feels good. should respond well to the re-tune.

Enkei RC-4, or something like that. I'll get the info when I talk to him on Monday.

Thank you, sir!

I was fortunate enough to come across one of only a handful of belted dynojet dynos' in the world! Another way of saying I was able to get it on the rollers, I didn't get a printout, as I was the last person and they were all on the way out the door. I'll try and get a printout soon, Clark did his thing and It's sitting pretty around 300 WHP with maxed injectors and we didn't even go over 20 PSI this time. Boost holding strong throughout the powerband. Should be able to squeeze 330 WHP out of the stock turbo with some 850 CC injectors. I'd like to get the injectors ASAP so I can retune once I get to Arizona before the next track day. Running much smoother and burned a 1/3 of the gas getting home as it did to get up there. More power and increased fuel efficiency!!! WOOT!!

Here's another quick video I put together.

Nice bit of incriminating youtube evidence there

Just pray the cops don't see that

Would personally keep that kind of driving to the track

Btw, what's the gauge on the left? I saw that giving a red warning lamp a few times...

I Just got it tuned, and the closest track is 5+ hours from my house. the only way to make sure it wasn't going to explode was to test it out. I don't drive like that all the time.

The gauge is the boost gauge, I didn't adjust the warning lights after pulling the battery....oops.

Should be getting back to out to the track in the next couple weeks, can't wait to test out the new tune.

New Painted STI Titanium fender badges

Installed a set of Subaru headlight covers

Pulled off some more stickers. Intstalled a titanium turbo heatshield, to help fight off heatsoak.

Prodrive 3-port installed and functional,.....FINALLY!!!

Replaced Maru STI badge with CF STI piece.

More progress soon!

Trackday was awesome, burst an upper Rad. hose but had a replacement in hand and installed and back on the track and running strong in under 2 hours! had camera issues after the 3 time out but I did manage to get a couple videos of the early sessions. As far as I can tell from the videos I was running between 1 36's to 1 43'; not bad for first time at that track, I know I could have carried more speed through about half the corners, but I did have to drive it 3 hours through LA traffic to get home, So I had to drive uber conservative and save my tires and brakes. No off-track excursions, and had a great time, spent a few hours on the track getting accustom to the new tune and tires. just about zero rubbing, maybe one or two more times 'massaging the fenders' and I should have the rubbing all but eliminated.

I need to edit the pictures ASAP

I'll post a video soon as it uploads!

Got a new dyno sheet

BEFORE:

274 WHP W/ 91 Oct.
(made 286 @21 PSI on 100 oct)

NEW

New DP, WG actuator, and Prodrive 3-port.
this was at 19PSI with 91 octane,

294WHP

With the new parts and re-tune; Top end drop-off has been eliminated, and track-tested to pull hard right up to the 8250 rev-limit!

No torque curve though.... don't know WTF is up with that, but whatever.
I figure with a 25% drivetrain loss, that's about 368HP at the crank. Not to Shabby for mostly factory ****. Oh, and I still run Stock paper air filters too.

Ran a couple track events last week, car performed great!

Bled the brakes and drove up and down the PCH for about an hour, car's running great now!

Here's some pictures from the test fit

New top mount VS JDM STI Top mount

Cusco Motor mounts

Cusco Transmission mount

Cusco mount vs. STI mount

Don't know if I'll be able to re-tune it before next track day though.

Spent a couple nights in Los Angeles to help with a street racing scene in a movie, had a great time, even though it was kinda cold. 'Born To Race' is going to be the name of the movie, should be available early next year.

Here's a 370Z I raced

Bisi was there with his 700+ HP Civic, car is legit.

I'm ready for my close-up!

My daughter helped me install my new flat fuel door, fresh from the painters. I love it when kids want to be helpful!!

Looking good. Nice to see the work paying off.

Least your daughter helps. Last time I asked my son to help me he hit my front wing with a ratchet "because he wanted to hear what it sounded like" ? lol

Keep up the good work buddy.

I know how that goes... My daughters' favorite tool is the pellet-filled rubber mallet.

I picked up the Grey trunk release lever, so now my flat fuel door project is 100% complete. Looks and works great. I bought the same paint so it's a perfect color match.

Took a few quick shots off the PCH on the way home today from the dealership, it was great driving weather today.

Oh, and I embarrassed some guy in his convertible gallardo trying to keep up with me on the backroads.

Should be getting the injectors on Wed.; then Friday for a re-tune before track day on Sat. at PIR. Should be a fun weekend.

750cc's installed and road tuned. runs good, going to dyno tune it soon.

Had a GREAT time at the track this past weekend, lots of family and local friends came to watch me tear it up at PIR. Car is a few seconds quicker now with new injectors, didn't get to dyno tune it, had to do a quick road tune, but it was good. Have a small list of things I'd like to address before I hit the track again; next track day is in JAN.

My Daughter with my nephews watching from the sidelines

Just got home, time for some rest! I'll post more info later

Had to replace the TI exhaust; it developed a hole after making contact with a halfshaft during an off-track 'excursion'. Going to try and repair it when I have time. Now running a Blitz Nur-spec R with longer hangers to provide more clearance for driveshaft and rear bumper. sounds good too.

replaced the fuel pump before I went to phoenix for a weekend at the track. had a great time, car ran good, the tune is a little off with the new exhaust. but running strong.

i've got a video too, I'll get it up asap.

Another successful Weekend of Driving, drove 800km from home; straight to the drag strip, unloaded my gear, and managed a 12.8 @ 108 with a bad launch and a 2.1 60'.
Next day, Ran two different tracks, Firebird West for 3 sessions, and Firebird Main for 3 more sessions, 2 at night! I love night racing, reminds me of street racing Pre-Fast&Furious days when the Underground racing scene was still.......you know, underground? And not so Mainstream. But I much prefer fully Legal and longer racing at the track.
I still have to edit and upload the day and night footage from Firebird main, but here's a couple quick clips from Firebird West, in Chandler, AZ.
