I'm hardly getting upp(erty?) paul. I have my views. If they conflict with certain others out of 75K then tough. I don't come here to win friends and influence people. Perhaps you should have stayed a mod, then you could have given me a good spanking, eh
Have a good un as well, my skin is well to the fore thanks

I think your comment utterly misses the point.
If extremist elements are 'causing some of the world problems' (which they undeniably are), then it's ONLY the mainstream moderates that have a chance of turning this situation around.
I don't think that these comments can be seen a 'pretentious' given that they are largely statements of fact and common sense.

It's a bit unfair to single out the English monarchy though Klaatu, they were after all ony acting under the guidance of the Holy Roman Emperor of the time
Although admittedly they didn't take much persuading to get out there and grab some new lands from the barbarians, all in the name of Christianity obviously

BTW, I am English and not a Muslim.

What matters is how you put them of course and breaking SN rules in the way you have shown how you are prepared to attack someone's character is not a good idea.
You would be well advised to stop trolling/stalkng me because you just won't win!

Let's put our faith in what this man signs up to in the Nicene Creed (The Catholics pledge)
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit
and the Virgin Mary and became truly human.
So, their Lord was born from the coupling of a fantastical being and a Virgin, who remained a Virgin after the birth.......
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
Their Human Lord was killed but rose from dead and and flew up to heaven and is not sitting next to God looking down upon us. One day (next 50 years apparently) he'll come back down and judge everyone of us. Including those dead and send all those who've done bad to Hell to be tortured forever.. (nice)
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
He's looking forward to the day when all the dead will come to life and the World will effectively end in 'The Rapture'.
Now, this is only a fraction of the absurdities he and his fellow religious delusionals believe in. I don't know about you, but trusting the planets future survival to him and his opposite (indeed sworn enemies to the death) Islamic fundamentalist brethren in the Middle East, fills me with a little dread...
