so its a few hundred then lol
controling the boost is a good idea, but it doesn't chenge or check the fueling.

hiding the problem dont solve it, and thats basicly what it would be doing

I agree to a certain extent...but...the problem can be solved for £35 as opposed to £600,now if he was fitting a different turbo, injectors etc etc then a remap is obviously the way to go but its just over boosting. IMO its worth saving the money until the day when mods are fitted that warrant a remap.

But the OP's car is running standard boost so if an MBC was used to achieve standard standard boost without over boosting then the fueling wouldnt need adjusting.
Now if he was to wind it up without any adjustment to the fueling thats a different story..
Lets agree to disagree...

it started overboosting after i fited the downpipe de cat. so im guessing now from what ive heard that the turbos spooling up quicker and because of this is sucking more air than the ecu can handle so its using fuel cut as a way to protect the engine. i think a re maps the way forward as i want to get the best from the mods ive put on

yup, while the boost control will limit the boost, it wont set the fueling for the correct airflow etc

What sti360 is saying is, in the bottom pipe coming off the BCS,(the pipe going to the airbox) is a small brass restrictor pill, fit one with a smaller hole in it, not had any experiance with it myself but i think they are readily avaiable from your main stealer for pennies. Hth

yes thats just what i mean thanks
ive made one from a golf tee ha ha
if you put a smaller one in more air will pass threw the solenoid and open the wastegate early quicker thus stopping the boost rising pass given target ,target is set buy the size of the hole smaller = less boost peak
i was getting 1.4 1.5 bar and hitting fuel cut an forth so i changed the restrictor with my golf tee one and it would not go past 0.8 so i drilled the hole bigger now no fuel cut and she flys
