As a long time member but only very casual poster and a stickler for detail, the original comment relating to the whereabouts of the raffle monies was related to the "Taxi Drivers Club" raffle and did not refer to the raffle organised by Julian and was I think you'll find "banter" as you call it and no allegations of anybody being a "thief" were made until quoted by Julian at the beginning of this thread.

The very nature of the post was to entice people to reply and cause disagreements especially when clearly on the CSC website you were posting about the "Kev click" and "people not knowing how to smile as their face would crack" or "have fun in their scoobies". Even if the posts were not made by the frequent posters here they were endorsed with the "well said" type comments.

As the wife of the previous R/O and the first and only "No.1" (as quoted by SSS) I would add that SWS does welcome all the family "SWAGS "and kids if they wish to attend any of the meets and events, I personally would rather go shopping/spa/gym than stand round in the cold looking at shinny bits and wouldn't been seen dead in any kind of clothing with a Subaru logo!!!! but each to their own I suppose but I know that I would be welcome if I desired.

We have made some very good friends through scoobynet and Subaru ownership so it is very sad that this section is now home to this ongoing childish rubbish!

I think that there is a place for both clubs clearly but through this continued "baiting" you are all letting yourselves down.

I would imagine that the duties of the SIDC R/O would be to all the paying members of SIDC equally regardless of membership of other clubs or personal preferences.

Well I have had my say perhaps I'll post again in six months time.

Donna you and Richie will have to come down for another night out - was that really 2 years ago!

And all this smiley business is just to antagonize so I won't use any!

Why can't people see why the club formed and grew? And who asked for it to change? Its like Top Gear. Do we care that we don't get Chris Goffey and Dracula Wilson going on about safety and residual values? No because Clarkson Hammond and May have all gone down the pub to talk about cars over a pint and some food and have a laugh. On their own. I dont' see their kids or missus with them do you? The Stig is like the MWR. Its because we like to talk about cars which is boring (rather than go shopping or the spa or gym) and we like to talk about women and look at new shiny bits. If you want to take your family then fine. If people want a few hours away from thiers then thats fine too. Just like I am sure some of the wifies like to watch Top Gear every now and then.
A Mothers day meet is not the same I'm afraid to say. As a one off fine. But for every meet IMOPO its not what I want.

Subaru have done the same as SWS and they F'd up the new Impreza trying to go for a family market. Why can't we all just drive the "Classic" SWS for all its faults (not many) it was the best. We just went along for a carvery and a pint and if there was an MWR you went if it was your thing. If not you stayed away but didn't say don't do it.

Live and let live. IF people want to do one or both then fine. Let them stand on their own merit. I'm not contradicting myself here. But don't change the foundations as it will all fall down. I know I have been away for a year now but I know what it was like and what I see now is SAD SAD SAD. It seems to boil down to trying to change something that didn't want to be changed. We are not Essex Scoobies. They do a great job but that is what they always were. It looks like SWS has tried to be changed to be like them too much from what it was built and flourishing on under Kev with SSS and Gem supporting. I know others have had large contributions and its appreciated.

So it seems to me there are two options. Fit in or F off. If you want to fit in and do other things thats up to you. If you don't like SWS then don't go to meets and stop making it look like a chimps tea party on here because if you poke someone enough then they are going to smack you in the lip.

Please keep SWS going for when I come back! I may even bring the new Family. Once. Maybe...

Hey vicky we will see you soon i hope,i have a confession to make i wear a subaru hat every saturday and sunday as my son and heir now plays district rugby aswell as club ,ruddy cold on the side lines .
both myself and richie are proud to own a subaru and be associated with sws ,we have never boasted about this that or the other and i for one don't consider myself to be Council House And Violent but if i was so what ,where did this biggot attitude come from in my eyes everyone is equal irspective of what they turn up with at a meet ,one mans passion is another mans poison . My children know most members of sws by their first names aswell as aka's most people have taken the time and effort to hummour them(big d is a hero)so it is my opinion that sws is a family club.
if people thought the club to be unfriendly hostile and inhummorous they have not experienced the commaradary that these guys have built up
i for one know i can offend people ,i wont mince my words but i am not bombastic and i believe this is where the problem has occurred a case of fall into line or fall out .Does ANYONE THINK THAT IT IS ALL SWEETNESS AND LIGHT ALL OF THE TIME i'm sure a certain Mr Garner will clarify this(sidc r/o prior to Kev) I will continue to support sws and the good friends that i have met along the way,and to any newbie or potential owner of the scooby don't be put of by this thread the good times are to numerous to mention VIVA LA SCOOB AND SWS (apologies for spelling been in work at 7am and a bloody hard shift aswell)
