Jamie's right I'm affraid guys, the whole exhaust thing is completely subjected and bias from every corner you look in. Try before you buy is the only answer, or you will always be left thinking...what if........

Having seen the scoobysport BB, I think the Magnex looks to be
manufactured better - not to say it's a better performer !

A friend (ex Suburu mechanic) reckons there's hardly any
difference between them (TSL / Scooby / Magnex) performance wise
- that is - just fitting the back box.

Obviously a full system - would be a different story !

My reason :- the Magnex is £200 !!

A MacD's straw would perform better than a Scoobysport, Hence the price 99p with a free drink.

EdMax, for the magnex, is that £200 with or without vat? Only asking, as the TSL bb is only £210+vat, which is roughly £250 with vat, then later you can add the centre section from TSL which costs
£90+vat. Our zorst had just been damaged, so seriously looking at one of these, instead of getting another big bore jap zorst.

Right, well basically I think I agree. One person says one thing and another says another! Sounsd like each person in each corner is actually genuinely happy with the product they have though, so at least it sounds that you can't go wrong like.

Just personal preference it seems. Right, I'm off to Scoobysport for a listen because they are 10mins drive away. Then I need to hear a TSL BB. Anyone out there in the Essex area with a TSL they wouldn't mind me welding my ears to?

Cheers
Alex

I thought that there was no differences between backboxes when you had a full system already on, but changing my PPP backbox to a Blitz Nur Spec (for the afternoon only it was so loud) did give higher boost by 1 PSI with open loop boost control. Can't comment on the others but flow is good, unfortunately excessive noise is not for me personally.

nah me neither John, I do lots of 300mile weekends and after I fitted a powerflow to my old pug 205 1.9 I know what it's like to have an exhaust which seroiusly drones through the cabin all the time. Headache guaranteed like.

I need one which sounds 'just right' ! hahah but subjective that innit

Question

Craft,

It says on TSL's website that their backbox is £260 plus VAT, which including VAT is the same cost as the Scoobysport. What's this a bloody closed shop? LOL!!!

Craft,
I will post the exact price when I find out, i.e. 2 or 3 BB are being bought at the same time - so hopefully a bit discount given.

When I said £200 - that wasn't inc VAT.

Who uses the ITG panel filter ?

cheers
Max
