I was looking at this the other day and the reason the BMW comes out lowest was it's ridiculously low emissions.
can't remember exact figure but they are something like;
BMW 120d approx 128g emisssions but 177ps!!!!!!
VAG/Ford/GM 2.0ltr Diesels 140-low 150's g emissions but only 140/150ps.
What have BMW done to get a lot more power and much lower emissions, smells of bull$hit to me Must have used a bigger air pump or something feeding into the exhaust

I don't believe the emissions figures at all. Power up and emissions down just don't seem to go hand in hand. I think they have found a way round the legislation and once all the others manufacterers do they will be all doing it. Defeating what the emissions figures are trying to do.
