Not sure about that comment myself Em - my experience shows that people think of "that blue one with the gold wheels and the big spoiler", which would point towards the Blob STI......... Might be just me, but that's my ten pence worth on it!

I've always said, the scoob is like the hollywood movie, the original is always the best, sequels just never live up to the first one!!!!

Amen to that

As mentioned, new age are nice and refined, I prefer the raw edge of the classic myself

As an all round car (imo) the newage is much better. Who cares about the weight issue..... unless of course you do drag racing. BUT.... it is horses for courses. Personally I'd take the better chassis over a few less pounds any day.

And yes.... the Spec C is staying now!

I've had both (still got my newage)

Without a doubt it was the classic (and Colin McRae) that made the marque as famous as it is now..... I loved my classic but compared to my newage it's light years apart. The Newage is so comfortable and easy to drive. I can stroll along at 30 in 4th no problem whereas my classic would have been comy in 3rd.

The one thing that really gets on my nerves with the newage is that you sit on it rather than in it. The seating position is terrible, other than that I haven't really noticed the weight issue but then I haven't been driving it 10/10ths.

Classics are great, I still drool whenever I see a 22b or a P1 but then love parts of my newage too.

I know I'll get splinters if I don't get off the fence soon so my decision will be..... ooh....mmm.... a 2 door 22b replica hawkeye (get on to it ABW )

My i just add that the seating position in the STI7 is much lower than that of the STI8 onwards.

Fukcs me right off TBH, one thing I miss about the MY03 WRX is the seating position. Not a problem in the daisy cutter classic Maybe I will get me a fatty racing seat with some lowered runners ?

New age scoobs are ten a penny, they're everywhere, everyone's got one. To be fair, yes they are smart etc etc. Now on the other hand, you a get a good clean classic and it turns heads much more. (imho)

Keep 'em comin guys!
