Who Flash's and Waves

I think the classic owners tend to wave more because of what they own and drive. Let's face it, there aren't many who buy a classic because they want a daily economical driver. They purchase that type of vehicle for what it is, a classic. This is acknowledged by other classic drivers. The new age is more of a daily driver due to it's newer technology and perhaps imperceived, better economy. These guys just drive a car, doesn't really mean much to them. This mentallity weakens as the cars become newer models. People who buy the latest car buy it because it looks nice, not really because of the heratige it holds beneath it. The ethos of supporting the older generations is a thing of the past to them. A sporty car is what they are after and that fits the bill.
I do find that the majority of new age drivers look at you like 'why is he waving, do you know him darling?' because they genuinely don't recognise the model. Saying that, I got a wave of a new age (lass driving, male partner in the passengers seat) and was quite shocked. I'd almost given up with that model.
Not everyone is in the same boat obviously, but seem this way to me.
The 205 guys used to wave but again, because they new it was a car in the death throws of extinction and so felt as belonging to an ever growing exclusive club.
