Don't know the power, but the car runs smoother on part throttle from 1500 revs up (cold or warm), which it didn't before. Had to give it a bit of a bootful when starting off cold before (which I singularly do not like to do).
Also, at first, I try go to change up from 6th (to 7th gear) because increased torque made it seem like 5th gear.
Don't have to change down as often, so more pleasure factor.
Also the exhaust is no longer pitch black!
Remap was JGM by the way.

485bhp and 435lbs at G Force last figures (I also know what 360lbs feels like -with your spec impossible on a 2 litre, but on a 2.5 litre makes the difference). Could get slightly more but really near limits of Turbo - sure race fuel would give me over 500bhp but who can afford to run on this...... Methonal is a great octane booster by the way

I've had 544bhp at PE but its meaningless as I didnt believe it- bit like Well Lane nonsense numbers

Ultimately its how the car feels on the road so the figures only mean something if you can feel the difference on road/track

Its ok for the road, a bit laggy as Power kicks in later on the curve due to the larger Turbo - its ok for Track - could do with having a lot more Compression. Track days are more about brakes, suspension, the full package when Badly set up Evo's with over 600bhp (allegedly) just dont perform

The topic PPP or Ecutek is rather embarrasing as anyone who has owned Subaru's and gone on this site knows that the PPP is, quite frankly, totally crap.......

I've owned a WRX04 with an Ecutek (light and day) shame about the terrible gearbox ratio's on the wrx's - made it feel laggier than my sti5

Now I also have an sti Forrester - thats great, only thing I dont like is the fly-by-wire accelerator that makes the car less smooth

Personally I dont care about warranties - never have, but lets face it... whats the chance of an Ecutek causing any more issues than a PPP - neither should ever be an issue, unless you have an inexperienced mapper.......

Funnily enough the power I run on my sti isnt really enough for some tracks - you really need closer to 600bhp on a well sorted Classic to scare yourself... my power feels relatively pedestrian, then again I can hit over 170mph at Castle Coombe before going over the bumps into Quarry (that track kills suspensions, brakes and engines! not least the fact that open pit lanes are rare - its ridiculous and why I wont go there till they do more)

I'm at Snetterton this Tuesday so hopefully it wont rain!

I thought I was doing well with 300 bhp
you have massive power
I only have 5 speed as only a wrx
could do with 6 as I ran out of revs in 5th the other day.
I'm at Oulton Park on Tuesday But I would like it to rain for at least an hour.
I was at Donnington a few weeks back and 1st go on track it was wet. what a laugh. but got no speed out of the car, 2nd go it was dry and a lot faster.
