I can't see why not. Perhaps one on the East coast for an early morning sunrise in all it's glory.
Mick tells me you love a bit of morning glory.

Thanks for the invite on thursday Sticky. We should be up for this. Joh is doing a charity run on the saturday morning though. Can you pm me the exact location of your camp, and I'll work out the time to get there.
Also, can I open it to other smacs?

Time for this again.
The best date would be either Friday 20 and / or Sat 21st (solstice - longest daylight hours) and following last year's slightly late arrival, we'll need to set off at 6pm LATEST
BUT.....
What do we want to do this year folks?
Coast-to-coast as last year - BBQ on the West coast as the sun goes down, then drive over to the East coast for it coming back up to the taste of a bacon sarnie.
OR...
Just head for the West coast with BBQ, beer and sleeping bags, kip on't beach around a log fire then head back home in the morning.
The choice is yours
As for location... same place? (We'll need a better supply of firewood )

Right, a pretty resounding result in favour of the full-on beach party.
My suggestion would be...
Leave here on the Saturday (21st June) at around 3-4pm, take a steady drive to the coast, same location as last year with parking right next to the beach and right on the edge of the Lake district. Pitch up in plenty of time for footie, bbq, beer, fire, sunset, kip?
Then up for brekky and spend a quiet Sunday morning in the lakes.
Any other suggestions?

Yes it's still going ahead, though it will be very dependent on the weather, so we'll need to keep an eye on the forecasts.
Looking to set off from a general meeting point at 3pm ish (TBC) I was thinking of the lay-by just before the measured mile into Ilkley, most of us know where that is (ask if you don't!)
Aiming to get there for 5-ish.
I think we ought to consider taking half a dozen or so disposable BBQs rather than someone having to lug the club one and gas bottle about.
We'll each need to take food, drink, something to sit on, as much firewood as possible, and whatever you think you might need to sleep on/in.
Spend Saturday night on the beach, then into the Lakes for a nice quiet Sunday.
