How much room do i need from the hub face to the spokes? I believe Kev gave me some measurements and one was 84mm required from back face of rotor to inside of the spokes. Is that the same thing?
The reason im asking is because at present and based on the measurements Kev gave me, ive got 1mm interferance between my spokes and the caliper.

Measurement out from hub face to outside edge of caliper 32mm. Ive no idea where Kev got 84mm from, Ill have to ask him to clarify what hes talking about.
EDIT: Its ok, its as he said, from the back of the rotor to outside edge of caliper is 84mm, I measured from a Subaru Impreza GC8 hub face to the outer edge of the caliper which is 32mm
My measurement is far more useful as its car specific, Kevs measurement is fixed for all cars BUT without knowing the offset of the bell you dont whow there the caliper will sit in relation to the hub and therefore isnt of huge help.
I could only do the proper hub measurement because I have an Impreza

Forget everything Kev said, lets start again with car specific measurements seeing as we have them to hand.
The distance between the hub face and the outside edge of the 330mm KSport caliper is 32mm. Id take it that your disc is about 6mm thick in the centre where it meets the hub. If you measure from the ouside edge of your disc (where the wheel touches the disc) then youll need 26mm clearance from that point to the inside edge of the wheel. Obviously the caliper sits out from the centre of the hub so you need to take the measurement around 180mm out from the hub centre, radially speaking.
Radial measurement
Distance needed between outside face of discs where it meets wheel and outside face of caliper
Is that clearer?

Ive altered the radial measurement, please check again.
356mm hub to outer caliper face is the same, obviously the radial measurement is different. Youll need 400mm total inner wheel clearance or 200mm radial based on radius as in pic in above post.
Phew, am I making sense here?

Look at the front of your car and picture the cars brake disc attached to the hub. Now imagine the disc face where it meets the cars wheel. When you fit the KSport kit the caliper will sit further out compared to the disc/wheel mounting face.
The distance between disc/wheel mounting face and outer edge of caliper is 26mm.
Any clearer?
I need to get some pics to clarify but my Subaru isnt here at the moment.

Whats the bedding in procedure then? I am used to the violent ways of the StopTech's. So how to bed them in?
I am tempted for rears as well, LOL. Oh, decisions, decisions
So do i or dont i? Would it still be a balanced setup with 330's on front and rear? Does it affect the ABS?
And apart from that, i await eagerly to get them.

I have approx 8mm clearance on my BBS LM,s on the existing oe 4 pot caliper....is there a measurement on how much bigger the K sport caliper is over the oe subaru 4 pots???

I think one more dimension is needed along with the ones you've given already. You have given the overall radius of the kit (188mm for the 330mm kit) but could you please give the radial dimension to the inner point of the caliper?
On my wheels, the further out you go towards the rim, the greater the distance from inside of the spoke to the wheel mounting face. I've got nearly 30mm at the 188mm point but this rapidly decreases as I move towards the wheel centre.

What's the ETA on these?
Also, as a complete n00b, what do I need to get in preperation for fitting these myself? I've done it before on my old Scoob, but that just invloved handing stuff to a mate whilst he did it for me, this time I'd like to do it myself.

I havent tried those wheels personally so cant guarentee anything, the KSport caliper face sits 34mm out from the wheel hub face so its easy enough for you to check

You need to ensure the hub face is very clean with no contaminents or rust so the rotor and bell aseembly can sit flat. These brakes, as with all kits irrespective of brand, should be fitted by a properly equipped garage who know what theyre doing with each rotor tried in the 5 different rotational fitting positions to find the lowest run out.

Do you have that same clearance with the caliper mounted further out, bearing in mind that the KSport are 330mm diameter? Im assuming youre thinking of 330s. Let me know and Ill get the info for you
The spokes on the inside of wheel don,t curve in at all so at 330mm it would still have the 8mm clearance...??

dumb question i know, but these will fit under some 18" inovit STVI's
I would of thought they did, but on the site they listed on, they say fit subaru's but not those with big brake!!
