Plausable I dont doubt, but I would have thought it would take a somewhat more delicate procedure than sticking a needle in and injecting pigment.

When you look at how fine the skin or whatever the layers of the eye are called lol, and how they are maipulated for surgery, I cant imagine a needle that thick being delicate enough to place pigment between the layers.

Probably wrong though lol

Feline on Hickmott Road, just off Ecclesall Road. Go to a guy called Gavin Rowbottom - the guy is unbelievably good.

As for pain, I have 3 tattoos - two on my back, one small at the base and one going up my spine finishing just underneath my bra strap. Not at all painful. My problem is that I am incredibly ticklish and started twitching everytime the needle came near me! Actually fell asleep having the big one done on my back.

Also have a biggish fairy on my tummy, starts at about 2 inches below the belly button and goes up over my ribs. Again didn't hurt. Think the pain factor depends on two things - your threshold and the tattooist. A good tattooist will do what they can to make it as painfree as is possible.

Tip though, take some lollies and suck on them while you're having the tattoo done - it'll keep your blood sugar levels up. Also don't drink the night before-you'll bleed like crazy!

Always used Savlon on mine to help with healing and never had any problems.

Hoping to book the fourth tattoo with Gavin soon. Good luck to those getting tatt's for the first time!!

Here it is, also had some writing on my forearms but not worth showing, just something personal.

was the most painless tatt Ive had upto now, got 6, except the neck bit, which was a little nippy, but thought it looked cool, its my birthsign, can't see it tbh with my work polo top on, but looks ok in a t-shirt, just visible.

Does it get the snazy signature of approval ;-)

Hell yeah it does

Looks ace mate, very well converted into a tattoo I have to say

Look forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks time when its calmed down. The tip of the tail sticking out looks like its gonna be just the ticket, just how you described it.

This thigh piece is my........errrm......8th tattoo technically
In the meantime I have decided to go large with the dragon on the other leg. Thought back of my knee, to mid bum would be a good idea, and going a bit further round the leg this time too

Thinking of this style of dragon, with some ideas taken from this design. Obviously the design will need to follow the lines I want it to, and there will be a little more in the theme.

So, should I get mine covered up, zapped or just leave it?

Can tattoos on wimmins ever look classy or cool? Or will I just look a bit crap with a bigger, brighter one? Should I just forget it's there like I have done for most of my life?

Help me folks!

Tattoo's do fade with age, although over the last few years, the 'ink' thats used difers entirely from years previous.. so it may just be wiser to get it redone or covered

If you are considering a new tattoo on the same part, consider a cover up, rather than the discomfort of removal then new tattoo.

A good designer will be able to sort it

Are you scared or something? If you really want it, get on with it. If you decide to change your mind, no-one will mind. It's your body after all

I agree, my inner forearms ones hurt quite a bit, but the one on my back, well...I could have sat there allday, anyone find a difference painwise with different tattooists at all? Reason I ask is because with this new guy I used, he was spot on, the other guy, used to be a bit brutal....
