shocks arent a yearly replaceable item, and neither are discs. Tyres and pads maybe but depends on how its driven. If the original poster can use spanners then there is no reason he cannot service it himself.

Thanks for that, Jay. Given the current thread about the short life-span of Subaru shocks I figured he would get through a set every year if he's doing 25000 miles a year. I got rid of my STI long before that so wouldn't know. My discs were apparently on the way out after 8000 miles and everyone knows I drive like a granny so maybe I'm biased.
