I have heard back from Turbo Dynamics and they have confirmed that the play in the spindle is all within specification and teh turbo is fine.
However they also confirmed that there is oil p*ssing out of the rear turbo seal.
They noticed that the oil feed fitting had no restrictor fitted, so after confirming that my oil pressure is way too high to run without one, teh diagnosis is confirmed. They will return the turbo cleaned, with new seals and the oil feed fitting with a restrictor.

The restrictor is head side rather than in the union in the top of the cartridge.

One things for sure, get out first as dense blue smoke and oil on the track is going to guarantee you qualify in first place

OK the turbo has arrived Sadly to late for the weekend
So i will have to fit this weekend. I hope there are no problems as this could stuff all my plans for next weekend

Otherwise i think i'm pretty good for the next round (just need to stock up on Octane Booster)

I think i waws around 1 to 1.5 hours for removal... so i should be on track for a little better than 5

But with you having all this extra spool and power, not sure how things will look on track!

It should be quite a level playing field with not many entrants having previous experience of the circuit, I've driven the full circuit a couple of times but this was back when classics were in brochures and on dealer forecourts!
