In fact I can't think of one thing I buy that is cheaper than what it once was.
On the original poster's note, a colleague just spent £97 filling his 77 litre tank in his Maserati for a track session at Knockhill tonight

Prices with fuel often come down before they rise higher than the original price, that way people don't tend to notice as much and don't complain/riot/boycott/etc.
But with the % increases @ the moment, you can't really fail to notice. I think prices have doubled in the 6 or 7 years i've been driving.

I Was up in carlisle last weekend and V power was 112.9! Why such a difference?
