Exactly, the main issue really is just the fact that these are the people who are meant to be keeping our streets safe and we are supposed to respect them, but when they (not all i admit but 50%) dont have any manners and cant treat you with the slightest respect then how can they expect it back?

just out of curiosity I just bought an WRX and im 29. The company Im with had to send it to the underwriters to be accpeted as the min age was 30. I have 7yrs no claims bonus of my own and driving since 98. But I still pay 700 a year, so to that end what do you pay for yours and whats the excess, im guessing its got to be alot, as my brother who just bought my rover coupe turbo off me at 20 is paying 2200 third party on that as a named driver on my mothers insurance. I was only paying 300 on the rover and now pay over double that on the wrx so yours should be double the 2200 assuming your on your parents insurance.
And what year of wrx?
And what year of wrx?

I think it's a tad unfair to just come on and slate all police officers, but to be fair, I guess it depends on your own personal circumstances.
Personally we haven't had any problems (touch wood, don't want to tempt fate). The only time we got a talking to, was when we had parked on double yellow lines, to nip to the shop. It was our own fault, as ultimately we'd done wrong, but even then, they weren't unreasonable. The younger officer was a little more jumped up, explaining how we could get points and a fine, with a little attitude, but before long, the older officer came across, had a look around the car, and actually seemed quite interested in it, asking what it was like, performance etc. in a positive way. He was perfectly friendly, and before long we were let on our way, no problems, no fine/points, just a little chat.
Obviously there will be police out there who have an attitude, pull people for no reason etc. but by and large, I doubt they are the majority. You get good and bad in all walks of life, and that goes for those they are pulling too. I think most of the time, if you have a decent attitude back, unless you have actually done anything wrong, all will be well, other than being inconvenienced for a short time. I accept there will be exceptions, and there will be times people may get unfairly stopped, but the best thing to do, is to be reasonable back, and there should be no real problems.

Think you might be better going to a different insurer at that price.

A couple of points concern me and some have been mentioned, copper swinging his car round bends at 25mph!!!
Your mates surrounding the car = intimidation!
I like most people expect plod to do his stuff but manners maketh the man. Nod, say many thanks and call him a tosser later.
Oh you get "towed" not "toe'd". Toe'd is what my dad did to me when I answered back or gobbed off.

Yeah i may be paying a silly amount to run and insure one of these cars but if im enthusiastic about cars and decide to spend my money on petrol rather than drink/drugs then i believe im not doing anything wrong.
