Some new pics. Still pleased with it. Fuel is a bit sorer on the pocket. Around 150miles with £40, but as I only do this a week, its not too bad.

A few noises in the steering (ball joint and strut tops, typical of 6's) which are dulling my ownership a bit, but once these are fixed, i'll see how it goes.
Took it out in the wet the other day to a roundabout where I usually had the Subaru struggling for grip in 3rd at 45mph. Had the Evo round it in 2nd flat out. You could feel the car taking over and delivering the power for you. You could drive it with one hand. I can see why a lot of Impreza owners dont like the driving experiance but I'm all for anything they can put on to cars to stop me going through hedges.

Stunning looking car though, never fails to get looks wherever I go.

Well I have to say I always liked the looks of the Evo VI above all the other Evo's but I could never bring myself to buying one!

Cann't see why anyone would take an Evo six for a 02 STi as it was the Evo VII that was the same model year!

I have a MY02 ProDrive style STi four around three months now myself, it's my 7th Impreza and there is no way I would drive anything but an Impreza!

My brother has an EvoVII and his running costs in all areas is far greater the any of the Impreaza's I've had!

Yours is a beautiful example of an EvoVI though and If you plan on keeping it or selling it you might want to look here Irish Mitsubishi Owners Club the brother swears by them!

Best of luck!

Paid £2800 plus the Impreza. On paper, its not too bad on fuel, but as I get 1/4 of a tank with a tenner, it looks bad on the guage when its at half a tank one minute then 1/4 tank 35 miles later.

I previously owned an EVO 5 for 12 months import around 350 HP.

They are quick from 2nd to 3rd gear but not as quick in 4th to 5th compare to sti prodrive in my opinion!

The other problem with EVO 5 and 6 are The Tappets are a joke i had new ones every 2-3 months costing over 500 quid a go.

Econimically are to heavy compare to scoobs.
