Put your hands up if you think Foresters are ugly!

I will probably get laughed at on two occasions here.
until this thread Id never seen a forester, seriously never seen one on the road.
northdownsscooby, looking at the pics of yours i think its very tasty indeed, i think brandy it fugly is a bit harsh, one of those citroen xasra picasso things is what id call fugly and i see about 10 a day.

So are classics, but nobody starts a thread about it!
All scoobs are ugly, they always have been! The latest designs might not be to everyones taste on here, but they have definitely more mass market appeal, which I guess really means that the majority of the world thinks they are better looking than the older cars!
Why don't you head to the muppet forum to continue you're flaming session, or are you not brave enough to try it in there?

I'm on a Subaru forum where we all talk about our Subaru's. If everyone said how nice everything was and never said what they don't like, how boring would that be?
Now if i had turned round and said, 'all forester owners are *** jockeys' then yeh I can understand that would be bang outa line etc.
Its nothing personal to Forester owners AT ALL.
I hope that clears things up and ends the silly comments.

Whisper..I don't think the cars are ugly but the drivers are hideous...
Each to their own, powerful and practical..which ever model you chose the older ones are better looking than the new ones,IMO............

Titling a thread "Put your hands up if you think Foresters are ugly!" is not very subtle really is it and is only going to offend Forester owners!
I'm damn sure you wouldn't start a thread titled "Put your hands up if you think Classics are ugly" so why do the same for Foresters just because there are less owners on here!
You could have titled the thread "What do people think of the Forester" and then gone on to say that you don't like them but wondered what other people think!
We're all entitled to our own opinions and free to express them, but a little bit of tact and forthought when posting would make this place a far nicer place to be and avoid many unnecessary infractions!
All IMHO and IIRC of course
Oh, and for the record, I don't own a Forester and agree they are not the pretiest of cars, but they are very practical and pretty good to drive!

Oh dear matey.
So you think I started this thread becuase there are less forester owners on here. I'm not picking on anyone if thats what your suggesting!
Let me apologise if I have offended any Forester owners, thing is it appears right now that the only person I have really offended is you! and you don't even own a forester.
peace?

I wonder how many bugeye owners say Foresters are ugly, and remember what was said about THOSE when they came out! Still I guess its like being the ugliest boy in the class at school, you'd always want to try and claim some other kid was uglier right!
I would have had an Impreza wagon, but firstly its too small for me, and secondly it attracts so much 'wrong' attention, I can just concentrate on my driving in the Foz and ignore all the kids in Sorsa's and Caxo's....unlike my mate who uses an old 1.6 Impreza wagon as a tow car and is continually pestered into racing thm!

I bet barndogg is pissing himself, I would be...
Why rise to such bait, you bought the car because of whatever reason and whatever anybody says it won't change the fact that you bought it for them reasons.
No one buys a Scooby of any description if they are looking for "a" car, vectra estates for example can do the same job as a forrester/wagon and there's plenty of saloons that would suffice in place of a classic or newage.
We,yes we buy scooby's because......(put your reason here)....,whereas a normal motor would do the job efficiently and cheaper..
Perhaps he said it wrong but it he is entitled to his opinion,I personally never looked @ them from a purchase POV,btu I would prefer one of them over a Volvo,Skoda,Wartburg,Matra simca bagheera( ),Comma van,etc..
Run forrester run....nice....

class thread.
Whilst aesthetics are always relative I have to say my hands are up! If Frankenstein made a car then the Forrester would be it IMHO.
I often get jip for being virtually spoilerless and I take it on the chin because that's the way I want my car. I'm sure the majority of Forrester owners are of the same mindset.
Still, very amusing thread!

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
As I am a bug-eye owner, I agree they are ugly, but in a good way, like a staffie is ugly, or military jets can be ugly... big threatening and hard !
I'd let her indoors have one, so I could borrow it for the dogs and my mtb !
LOL
DunxC
P.S. Love my bug too much to swap !

Well Barndogg
The reason I chose a Forester over a Wagon was>>>>>>>>>>during the week I could load my work kit in it and go all over the place.
And at the Weekend put my 2 Bullmastiffs in it.
Bonzo & Morag.
They would not fit in a Waggon>>>>>>>>>>>>>as you can see.

I am quite asthonished to criticise the new Forester 08 which in my opinion is one of the best looking SUV in the market, it seems here there are members posing as Subaru fans which surely they are not just to give a bad impression to the Subaru brand, who knows, first they criticised the Impreza saying that it is very ugly, now that they saw the coupe it seems that this is a nice model but as far as I see the front remained unchange, I always liked the Impreza in fact I do own a WRX 08 and quite happy with it
