Do you know what choco, in 7 or 8 years using car forums I have never been drawn in to any kind of controversial issues whatsoever. Again I would ask you to re read the thread and see that you did start with the immature (as you put it) comments.
Do a search; there have been many WRX v’s UK 2000 threads, one very recent, I’m sure the majority of members that posted preferred the WRX over the UK 2000 for the reasons I have stated.

anyway I PERSONALLY own a STI that i use every day for work, i took it to the ring too, had fun, drove back and then drove to work the following day too
who ever was asking about the difference PLEASE feel free if your local to test drive mine to compare, mine is a MY97 with facelift, aircon, v3 blah blah blah,.,,,,,,,, ****** AND I HATE THAT IT HAS NO CLOCK BTW,,, REALLY HATE THAT !!! ********
as said test drive mine for a idea, its thirsty if ragged but fine otherwise round town,,,, but then my last 2 cars where a 325i BMW and a 350bhp cossie,,,,, fuel aint a worry for me tbh
i LOVE my car,,,, so much so i bought it at the first test drive,,,, i was looking for a M3 and wanted to compare tbh but bought the STI as its such a nice car to own

aaaaand once again i was merely putting across my view that i would simply prefer to buy a uk turbo over an older classic import for the reasons stated a few posts back.

oh i wouldnt bother with a UK 2000 car due to it being missing parts that make it a good car
it would be like buying a small turbo escort cosworth or a focus ST1,,,,, just a poor boys version of a good car IMO
