big jay, you are far from clear as to wether you are talking to me or ash, but as for maturity, after justifying myself, even though i dont need to, i think this is a severe case of pot calling kettle black. i've been adult enough to try and call an end to this, but you carry on with insults, whats the problem mate? bullied at school?

still its better than chavved up 1.2 corsa's and punto's in my opinion and if they do drive beyond their abilities it keeps a supply of 2nd hand spares on the market

Scoobys are cheap to buy a desirable, maybe with the huge increases in fuel tax it may force some of the younger drivers to sell?
there are a few young lads round mine that bought them cheap and are finding them very expensive to run now but i think that they would just forget there insurance to be honest which is very bad

big jay...i was simply sticking up for myself, try reading the whole thread. He was saying that younger drivers of subarus are destroying what he made great, end of day we bought our cars, not on finance, cold hard cash! i never got a loan out to buy mine and i earn every penny no matter how its made, ill make it and i work for it, i dont put silly bodykits on my car i actually think they look much smarter completely standard! i aint on here to argue, just dont like being stereotyped by some older guy with a chip on his shoulder. how am i making myself look like an idiot sticking up for myself? and who cares what i listen to as ive seen some posts since what i said earlier...ill listen to drum n bass, garage, house, i even have KoRn and slipknot cd's in my car...and a billy fury cd! ill listen to whats good, yeah im 23 with a billy fury cd in my car, HA! car-paid for-we do what the hell welike with it, stop "cussing" younger drivers! times have changed

What an entertaining post..
I must agree that most of the issues are based on stereotyping, which although wrong is the easiest thing to do,we are all guilty of it now and then.
Good luck to all subaru owners,we buy them because we like them, they are not the sort of car that you buy as a stop-gap or as something that comes up when you're car hunting,we actually conciously search these out.
As for "chav-in" them up who gives a ****,if you want to look like batman then it's upto you, customisation has and always will be personal taste.
As I said previously I drive as I find comfortable 1 handed, windows down weather permitting and my stereo on if I'm not listening to the 'zorst note .
Will I grizzle about what anybody else thinks...b0ll0cks...but then again mine is a 95% std wagon.
Isn't it enought that the young-uns get harrased by the police and non Subaru owners, and we all know what they're like..see you behind them and they won't move over even when they can,now that is reverse snobbery..
Fk the age you can get old or young ***** IMHO,Subaru drivers have my---->
Peace girls......

.... the peasants are revolting!

It amuses me greatly to read that the working class classic owners, who are better known as "Chavs" even consider themselves to be in the same financial brackets as the Scoobynet Elite (that's us by the way, the well educated from "Non Scooby Related")

I was sitting in the study last night, moving stocks and shares around, and thought about how we (Scoobynet Royalty) could help the less fortunate like yourselves to REALLY understand how the brand should be treated, respected and looked after....

...Then I thought it's an absolute waste of my valuable time, and not ONLY that but you're not even capable of understanding these values (being working class and all) so in essence consider yourselves lucky that the brand is now so cheap that you can buy in at the bottom end, on the back of all our hard work, and bask in our glory..... although you're just shadows in comparison to our GREATNESS

glass of port??? better hurry up and sip your port gentlemen, as the glass will later be needed for the sterident and false teeth. then it'll be a nice warm mug of cocoa and bed. make sure the driving gloves and flat cap are safe first, you wouldnt want a sleepless night worrying about them would you.

My mam always said I was special and I should mix with special people..she also said stay away from strange men in cars,so I bought a scooby hoping to fit into that niche and be left alone...hence a scooby owner on Scoobynet...
