Well what an attempt at discrediting the Tories over these blokes PetesDad! What on earth do you think your slippery hero and his self seeking toadies were doing for the last eleven years. All the fiddles around donations as well. No way can what they were doing can be called morally right. Whatever he has done though, he was very quick to resign over the affair at least.

You must know as well as the rest of us that modern politicians are in it for a "career" which means that their own welfare comes before the important bit of governing for the sake of the country. This applies to most of them despite their party colours. They are in the main a bunch of charlatans.

I am not sorry to see you posting again however, I am entitled to say that if I wish and I also know that I am not the only one who feels that way. This cannot be regarded as trolling and I have not broken SN rules in any way nor have I insulted any SN member in this post.

I can't see you being able to defend your hero over this however.

I'm not sure I am aware of a Labour MP actually stealing funds directly from the people and not resigning?

They are all as bad as each other in the employing family members area - but this Chichester chappie actually paid £500,000 of OUR money into his company!!!! THEFT on a grand scale!!!

Looks a good weekend, might go Mackeral bashing tomorrow if I can locate a shoal or two ...... bar-b-que on the beach with fresh fish just caught .... luvverly jubberly

As you will be aware by now, the Tory Chairwoman has been caught paying her Nanny from YOURS and MY money ..... this is more akin to the Labour discretions than Mr Chichester stealing a whopping £500,000

So, we shall see if she does the decent thing and resigns as an MP - if she does then I will start to believe that the Tories may actually have changed their spots ...... watch this space!

Well you know what I think of the average modern MP Pete, we shall have to see if she will also do the decent thing. I feel the same way of course about them taking advantage of the lax situation permitted and even defended in court with our tax money by the Speaker and it should be wiped out completely.

I hear that the mackerel are shoaling well, so good luck with the fishing. Should be able to get out on the East Bank for the sea bass soon. Just need some live prawns for bait and it is a little early for them yet. Also a bit held back because my normal fishing partner is very ill at the moment.

Off tomorrow for the Round Dartmoor Run with the "KickStart Club" on our old motor bikes. People come from far and wide to take part in it and we always have a great day. The villagers all come out to cheer us on when we go by. All I can say is I hope it does not rain.

I think you meant from "under a stone" Paul!
