Looks like iPhone App Store will be launched today, some Loopt app thing (social network thing, so yet another facebook clone type thing) will be available there for free.

So, we're looking at an update to iTunes at least then.

iPhone 2.0 software released in July. Available to all iPhone owners for free, price of $9.99 for iPod Touch owners.

App Store is already available (seems to have been when SDK was released, I must have missed that somehow )

My prediction... Announcement of iPhone 2, but will not be available until July, to coincide with release of the 2.0 update, prob due to FCC compliancy.

Yup, that's what I'm assuming.

Ok. MobileMe, sounds like upgraded version of DotMac.

I'd hoped mobileme would be cheaper than £60 a year.

Maybe cheaper with iPhone 2 ?

Will there be subsidies by the network operators?

At the exchange rate, that's pretty good. I wonder what the UK premium will be.

I'd hoped to get 2 for £400. our lass might have to slum it with a 8gb one

iPhone will be ordered for my wife. I have resisted until now, but having had an iTouch for a while that combined with 3G will be superb.

I completely agree with you. However like with most things that Apple do there is just something 'right' about the iPhone (and Touch). I KNOW I can get a more feature rich product, but just want the Apple. Strange really.
