Dont they look different without a spoiler?!?! I think if you keep it that way mate, you need to lower it!!! The look is growing on me but could never do it. To me,it would be like removing the bonnet vent!Yours had the lower spoiler didn't it? I think spoilerless or BIG spoiler

Well I'm quite suprised on the amount of positive comment.

The colour of the car makes a massive difference.

Lower and darker wheels - anthracite , a plan is emerging...

Trim plugs, I went to halfords an got some large trim plugs, tomorrow I will be smoothing them off, prime, paint and laquer. Getting impatient and trying to fit them before the paint has gone off and ending up with finger prints in the laquer.

Some things have cropped up, although they will cover the holes, the pins are too small so I'll need a dab of silicone to hold them in, the other problem is that the off side has four holes due to the cable for the brake light so I will have to probably mirror that on the other side. There are also marks from where the spoiler was, but some paint renovator and polish should deal with that.

As this is just a look-see at the moment, I'm not planning on going down the filling and respray route yet.

Default Trim Plugs

OK here are a few pics of the process I went through to paint the plugs:
Halfords large trim plugs

Used 1200 wet & dry to key and smooth the surface. I found an old bit of mesh to mount the plugs on - did a few extra too!

I didn't have any grey plastic primer so I used red.

Then put a couple of coats of ordinary grey down

Luckly I had some paint (made up by the local) halfords left over from previous work put three coats on then four coats of lacquer

Then using some silicon I popped the plugs in place, they are large enough to cover the different sized holes.

Now its not perfect, and not a long term solution, but it looks better than electrical tape.

Wingless for sure. I took mine of my bug eye. Much prefer the slickback look.

It looks OK,but for me its a rally car at heart and the rally cars have spoilers.Although you've done a good job there and it would be a bit boreing if every scoob looked the same

Seen it in the flesh today and looks even better! Can't say I'll be taking mine off but on Rich's WRX it looks way better than having the standard spoiler! Good temporary job of filling the holes too!
