The status quo is that we have freedom of speech , by and large.
I don't include Nacro et al in the "hard of thinking brigade"
And it's comical that just because he has a different point of view he is being called a troll.

And crime is for the proletariat!
I have no problem with Islam; I have a problem with those who profane it by using twisted interpretations of the Koran to perpetrate acts of hated against the west; the very countries whose freedom they so readily exploit!

In other cases it is of course rightly used to describe someone who is merely saying something in order to elicit a response, foment debate and generally wind up idiots who should probably know better than to let themselves get their knickers in a twist.
Of course that doesn't actually mean the 'troll' and their viewpoint isn't actually the correct one.
Getting back on topic it clearly isn't the case here, I would never accuse whatever the guy is called who has been losing the debate to me a 'troll' . It's just such a weak, cheap shot.
Sorry couldn't remember your user name.

There is a pattern here, pick a subject, preferably an emotive one and then decide where the SN Massives opinions will lie (usually thats pretty simple), then write an empassioned and eloquent post completely to the contrary to stimulate debate and the usual Infraction, given NACROS usual disdain for the rest of humanity I doubt one small girl of Asian origin rates very high on the NACRO scale of all that is important

Indeed, but that's just the template for trolling! At least NARCO puts some effort into his attempts rather than resorting to the usual: scoobies are crap bait!
I've done my share of feeding for one day though, so best be off before I get told off!

Freedom of speech is an anathema. Unlimited 'freedom' to say/preach/encourage/advocate/propagate is a recipe for those with an agenda to influence those without one, or much else for that matter
Given a chance to listen to the 'norm' i.e. the agenda set by those who can think for themselves, the 'duurrr' minority would be amiable puppies, not dangerous lunes.

Sorry I lost you! My point was that the status quo should not be absolute.

"Freedom of speech is an anathema"- do you really intend to convey that freedom of speech is something that is generally disliked or disapproved of?
Moving on from that and other non sequiturs like 'the norm-ie the agenda set by those who can think for themselves', perhaps the reason for this is that you use Nihongo in your day to day life?
I can sympathise, when you speak a foreign language on a daily basis then one's ability to express oneself in English is compromised.

I think you might have lost him due to the fact you seem to be attempting to communicate in a language that isn't entirely English.

"generally disliked"? I didn't express myself in general terms, rather in personal view point.
You attempt to twist view points and logically placed argument. Is that suggestive of a radical agenda?

Bollocks, bollocks, bollocks. You and Nacro are unbelievably naive if you believe that we are 'somehow' better off by this judgement I don't know what agenda you follow but it must be born of seriously flawed reasoning.
Are you advocating that our KKK 'friends' can say/write/push/ perpetuate their views openly without fear of prosecution. You make me chuckle

I don't have an agenda as such. I just don't generally like it when governments outlaw thinking, writing and debate. It's taking this country (and most of Europe, probably) down a road I don't want to go down, and that's that. Nothing you, or anyone else, say will change my opinion on this matter.
In my opinion (it's OK if you don't agree with this, I wont call you a or laugh at you if you don't agree), we either have free speech or we dont. There isn't a grey area, it's completely binary.
Just because you don't agree with, or understand, a viewpoint doesn't necessarily make it incorrect.

A person who makes inflammatory poems about the west under the name "lyrical terrorist", whom the lawlords stated possessed material consistent with facilitating terrorism had their conviction quashed because the barstewards at the CPS completely unreasonably thought that her "Odes to the evil infidels" could be considered in the same light as her other literature such as "Bombmaking for Dummies"
Awful, awful miscarriage of justice!
A GREAT day for UK justice, as yet another person who rants against the west quite happily benefits from the freedoms and privileges afforded to it's citizens!
Party time indeed at chez NARCO

Freedom of speech has to have limitations. That is reasonable, no?
As a society we have never allowed 'complete' freedom of speech and we, IMO, never will.
My point however was that; freedom of speech is not absolutely necessary for those with 'freedom of thinking'.

FYI Here are some extracts from her "work"
British Muslim woman convicted of penning poems about beheadings | Mail Online
Hardly Shakespeare is she?
Maybe she should have just been convicted for composing sh*t poetry!
I was a fool to argue that she was anything but a credit to the Muslim community and the UK population generally and that her interest in composing such material and keeping terrorist manuals was anything but an innocuous past-time. Clearly the CPS were out of order in thinking that her poetry should be considered in the same light as her reference material....I mean, what were they thinking?!?! Clearly, she fully deserved her conviction to be quashed.

Yes I am rejoicing. It's wonderful news, we'll probably drink a toast to her later on. In fact my love of fine wines, beer and 'digestifs' is the only real stumbling block to my full conversion to Islam.
Also my love of scantily clad women, drugs, gambling, lack of belief in any sort of super being and stuff like that.
Other than that I'm there dude.

BBC NEWS | UK | 'Lyrical terrorist' wins appeal
An unsafe conviction for writing poetry overturned quite rightly. It isn't an offense to propagandise (if you believe that was the case) and as far as I'm aware the government doesn't have the right to tell people what to believe yet. The fact she had some material which may be regarded by some as 'of practical help to terrorists' (despite the fact you can download this from the internet freely) wasn't enough for the CPS, they had to turn it into something ideological.
This isn't just a personal victory for Samina but one for all the British public.

Absolutely spot on - People seem to have forgotten the famous adage "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death to right to say it".
For those BNP supporters amongst you out there, you should be absolutely cheering this result, because it is exactly this freedom that allows you to spout your ****, as much as she spouts hers.
I love the certainity in this post . It's not that she might commit some radical act - it's a fact she is going to blow herself and innocent people to death.
Do you work for the Sun?

Reminds me of that bit from Father Ted where a priest asks Father Dougal if he ever questions his faith.

Not to forget your preposition for being an enthusiastic masturbater (that you confessed previously) or your general pugilistic tendencies - which I suppose is an obviously Islamic trait ...
