Matt,

You need to either run a harnes bar or swap your seats for some proper fixed back buckets mate.

Those harness are not really safe. Ive done it like that before but you really should change them.

Yup, will be going for some proper fixed backs and some 4 or 5 point fia approved harnesses. most likely 3" rather than the narrower ones i have now.

harness bar is in design. to use while i save up for the fixed back seats. although will probably still leave it in as it will be an extra bit of ridgity

Matt, just a thought, but have you checked the reg for sprinting/hill climbing?
From what I remember, the 2 road going classes require full interior to still be fitted. Stripped out, I think, puts your up in the out and out race class! And if so full cage, plumbed in extinguishers, etc are mandatory!

Check out the HSA website for details (Hillclimb and Sprint Association)

i knew it put me up a class (modified road saloon class c1 / c2 or c3 depending on engine size) but didn't think it had to have a plumbed in extinguisher cage is on the list to be done before next year. will check the full regs out. the ones i have are the suplimental ones for shelsey walsh.

ordered an fia approved battery kill switch and push button start. just need to fabricate a nice plate for them to go in. fia seat and harness are on the list. i know that if stripping out they have to be fixed back fia approved.

cheers neil, will graba copy of the regs.

Hi mate, the spoiler is a M3 replica lip spoiler. They are for sale on a very popular auction site for between £15-£30 now.

it's just ever so slightly shy of the boot width, about an 8th of an inch. so no trimming needed

we had a bit of a nightmare with the alk going on. 2 of the 4 bolts were cross threaded and we tried a fair few places to get a tap and die to get them sorted properly but no luck so had to fight to get them to cut a new thread on their own.

only managed to get the rear sunstrip redone with the website, front website on the sunstrip and number box on the front. oh and the narrow stripe is now down the rear bumper and the thicker one where it would go in behind the number plate. plate is on as well. looks so much more aggressive with a proper plate.

mudflaps are off ready for a good clean up and the new stickers to go on. then just need to cut the rest of the bits from the original vinyl and apply it all

will post some pics up later of the few bits that we managed to get on
