CraigH's car is certainly gonna be quicker/more powerful than mine - Craig/others you are more than welcome to take my place as long as Simonzzr is OK with it.

IMHO It would make a more entertaining/worthwhile day with higher powered cars. However, i would still like to spectate.

Craig/others/Simonzzr?

Well, currently I'm only running a very standard P1, but with a couple of mod's in mind.......maybe even the NOS will be there by then as well.......

At the end of the day it's going to be a good day out and a chance to see some very quick cars. Maybe we will get our ***** kicked (but only a little bit I think).

Not worried about getting beaten!
I am sure the original post which i replied to was a test day at the airfield.

I would rather give my place up to more powerful cars.

I will post all the specs of the cars going later this evening, but to be fair none of them have massive horsepower (500 +)
Are there any Scoobs that have that kind of grunt?
We will struggle to be near the top of the outright speed runs, but dont we all keep telling everyone how well our cars handle? So now is the time to put our money where our mouths are and finally show what our Subaru's are really capable of doing when faced with some real stiff opposition!
Regards
Simon

Mike,

One of these days you should try and get a proper haircut - it may stop you being such a total numpty

I said a rolling 60-100 is the most useful test.

I also said I'm not stupid enough to expect to be able to keep up over the half mile.

What's going to be interesting, is when similar powered 4wd Escorts, kick your buttski (hopefully out of the '80s)

Steve,
I know, because we have never yet go to go head to head with the latest mods. On the one occasion when it could have happened (National Day), you wimped out and went in the lower group...

Ditto about getting that one in...

Craig my darling, at least I HAVE a hair style, even if it is from a different era to the current one....

Yep, it will be a good day though. Shame you aren't taking the shed to show the Scooby boys what a real 400bhp is, rather than the make believe figures....

I will be VERY impressed if any of the Scoobies break 155mph.

Have you ordered your toy yet...?

i think it is really funny that no one is going to bite and ask christian about his high horsepower car

Mike, when are you going to undersatnd that it takes skinny tyres and low pressure to get good traction in a straight line.

Ask the webmaster and he will explain.

PS. only the normal gearing imprezas or the uk geared cars stand a chance of topping 160mph in a scoob, and even then it takes monster horsepower.

There simply arent any that I know of that would ever stand a chance in this kind of competition. We need serious power, serious gearing changes and then seriously mental gearboxes.

Do all these 500bhp cossies have mental gearboxes? As in are they straight cut dog boxes? or do they have synchros?

No one has come back to me with all five gear ratios. Need info if people like us ever standa chance of competing. when finished, I would like to take on that porsche, but then I should think my battle would be with aerodynamics, not with him.

Adam : All I said was, that they may be interested in having my subaru at the event. People have emailed me offline asking about it- but for now, Christian's Type-R = <Undisclosed>.
