Blue, thanks for the reply matey. Regarding money in letterheads, yes there isnt much specifically in letterheads but generally in stationary there is lots of money to be made by an independant corporate design company. Your are spot on regarding middle men but im getting frustrated as i cant find any decent litho printers direct that can help me. surely there are some out there and local as these guys i know are using them.
Other stuff I need includes Spot UV and various other specialist finishing services

Blue at this very moment in time it is more like one a week but that is primarily due to the fact that I am not taking many new jobs on at the moment as we are moving into our new design studio.
Regarding colours it generally varies between 2 and 4 colour

OK, spoken to dad. Basically he agrees with me. Cut out the middle man and go direct to the printer. Don't even think about buying a press and everything that goes with it. There are printers out there who would kill for your steady supply of work. He's too far away to make any deal make sense, but if you look in the yellow pages I'm sure there will be tons of small printers who can do the job for you. Failing that, ask your competitors which printers they use.
Good luck.

If you need a local printer with their own equipment, contact Pressision in Stanningley, about a mile outside Bradford. Speak to James (Taylor) and tell him Dave (Watson) sent you.
