Loving this thread - we have 2 boxers but I would consider a Dogue in the future when the time comes. Such great characters!!

Regarding the dog food...... Burns is generally well respected but i know of a fellow owner who swore by it, however it transpired they had a similair issue as you. They swapped to the same as us - James Well Beloved, it is about the same price but less bulking agents / ingredients = less shizen .

Our two love JWB dog food and since the other person I mentioned has started buying it they have noticed a marked improvement in their dogs coat and also another problem has dissapeared........ cheesy feet!

May be worth a try but swap over a period of time gradually introducing the JWB along with the burns at a ratio of 70% Burns and 30% JWB and just gradually increase the amounts of JWB until completely swapped. This will avoid an upset tummy for your dogue.

This thread is worthless without pic's so get some recent ones up for us all............ nowwwwwww

Please, pretty please!

We considered a dogue de bordeaux but opted for an English Mastiff as they don't require too much exercise.
Ours is now 10 weeks old and growing quick, she was house trained within a week of owning her and is a pleasure to own.
We feed her on JWB which goes down a treat.
Nik.

I am also a big fan of the English Mastiff. I think they are gorgeous...

DDBs have the same exercise requirements though, so that statement confused me a bit...

Good luck with her, While DDBs are my fave breed I'd love an English or a pair (don't tell the wife)...
