Think the racism is bollox. people are just saying it like it is. in certain areas thats how it works. in London knife crime is mostly down to gangs of black youths, brum is mostly Asian. its the area, thats what the population is made up of. thats how it is. its not a dig at any race.

gives me the hump that everything has to be politically correct. say it like it is now. they do the crimes then they should be named, their race identifies them. should be able to say without fear of being called a racist.

Agree. As I said earlier, if you live in an area with a high ratio of one culture to another, it stands to reason you will probably be mugged/served coffee/given a parking ticket from that cultural section.

i had a clifford blackjax anti hijack on my vr6 as soon as you started to drive off it needed a special code putting in on a two button system if you didnt do it the brake lights wuld flash then cut the engine out just enough time to run the hell away from the to##ers who stole it!.
Any body for the flame system in south africa (group buy maybe lol) , glad you ok and uninjured apart from the mental scars im sure you will get your car sorted or a new better one mate . just my 2p's regardless of your skin colour if your desperate or skanky enough you will take what every propperty you want to make a quick buck !

The propane system was defeated by throwing petrol over the car! Still, in an older car itd have been worth it, just to prove Darwins theory.....

I hope you get the car sorted and back to the way it was or better than it was before. I'm also pleased to here that you gave the car up instead of letting them beat the **** out of you or what ever else they would/could have done to you. A car/posetions can be replaced but you can't. Bit's of you can but you'd never be the same.

Hope they catch the people who done it as well.

this sort of thing is worrying, but it appears that as long as you don't fiddle tax or vat then the time does not match the crime, whenever I have had problems in the past the police attitude has been your insured aren't you. If you had got out the car and beat the **** out of them then you would have been in more trouble than them. Makes me think about investing in a blackjax now, just don't like the idea of a code everytime I get in, pity there ain't a system that just picks up a card in your wallet then if you are away from the car it don't work, now that would be far better.

saw an awesome vid of anti-hijack devices installed in cars in south africa, where hijack at the traffic lights is commonplace. One shot flames out of the side of the car outside the driver and passenger doors - the other scythed a long blade out from under the car at ankle level outside the doors as well.

Don't think it was a wind-up. Loved it.

Maybe get both installed. Chop down the thieves, them flame them, before cruising gently off into the distance.

Another possible preventative measure would be if they manage to get the car and they're all sitting in it. Get a penknife and quickly puncture the tyre before running off. I know it would be your tyre you're puncturing, but if it stops them then it's worth it.

you will find these type of people will be stealling these cars for engine transplants and any mods etc. there is a lot of scoobies in birmingham which get driven very hard and it is easy for them to just steal another one and get away with it. the goverment need to clamp down a lot harder on any theft, gang , or violent crimes .

The flame thrower one wouldn't work in S.A

Quite common for car-jackers out there to douse the car in petrol and threaten to set fire to it unless the occupants get out! Igniting a flame at this point as a protective countermeasure may be somewhat counterproductive! It would, however, save them the effort!


Over here it'd be very effective.......once!

I am asian and 5 years ago I got carjacked in Birmingham by 2 black guys who shot me, bullet went through both legs and I am still having physio now, yet you don't find me on here going on about how it's always black guys that try and rob you
