With grey.................
I'm expecting to be overtaken soon by others at Well Lane soon as I cant be arsed doing much more to the car - and I aint going internal

Ooops!
Yes Andy you're right. I'm running 19psi. Thought I'd put that in, sorry! Think my head is still up my ****!
Adam,
Valid point but have a look in Northern at the other results. IF the rollers are out, it's not by much. A standard MY00 Uk got 226,
a standard Evo6 got 281 and a standard(ish) MY94 got 213. A standard P1 also got 290 so the results aren't a million miles from what you'd expect. If anything, some results were LOWER than you'd expect.
I said in my 1st post I'd spent £1500 on the engine so it's fairly obvious that it wasn't just filter and exhaust! All I said was I have standard Turbo, ECU and internals.
The reason I stressed this was that you get a lot of BOLLOX on here about UK internals being crap but Nito, Andy and I (and there may be others) have all proved that's not true, if you are careful.
I do have a lambda link type device and run Optimax with NF booster

HKS FCD raises overboost point. It has a 12 position dial.
12 is like it's not there, 1 is max.
You select wherever you want yours to be, based on vehicle and setup. They are just over £100 from memory.
Sorry, no idea what power was at the wheels, weren't given those figures. But given that I got 249bhp with 4 dodgy coilpacks, and a lot less mods and 6 less psi, I think the figures are beleivable as they are. The Curve is nice and smooth, but steep, so this doesn't support any claims of slippage. I'm sure Kevin at Well Lane who has been doing this for years would have mentioned it if there was slippage. The car does feel blooody quick on the road. MUCH more so than when it got 250bhp.
Rich
As JB says for a TDO5, the figures are believable. Damian Spencer has a very similar setup to me- cone filter, full decat intercooler piping, raised boost plus beefed up fuel. He went on immediately before me and got 283bhp @16psi and he's got a TDO4 (smaller).
Coincidentally we got very similar results to each other last year too when we had identical mods. He got 230bhp@13.5psi, but I got 223bhp @ 9psi (due to dodgy solenoid - my first run showed 236bhp @11psi but then boost fell off). You would expect, maybe, if I was at 13.5 psi I would have had more than 230bhp (due to bigger turbo)so, the fact that I am now on 3 psi MORE means our figures kind of support each other in their validity.
Just my humble opinion and I'm sure Damian will agree.

Alan,
The honest answer re the Evos is I haven't got a clue m8!
What I do know is that rear drive cars have more of a tendency to climb out of the rollers. My dad took his K&N'd 944 turbo (my old car) to the last Well Lane do and it showed 259bhp but was climbing out of the rollers for fun.
The weight in the back limits this a bit. I think the Evos are rear drive biased so that may explain why they are more likely to do this than a Scoob is.
When a car does start to do this, you do get a dip on the power and torque. I would guess that what they mean is not that it GAINED 50bhp but that it would have LOST 50 if they hadn't.
But 50 does sound high, the Porsche dipped maybe 10-15bhp but I don't know. Depends if the Evo had monster bhp in which case I could maybe believe it. I really don't know.
Re my dash, it does go to 9000, but the red line is at 7000 as are all early Scoobs as far as I know. My brother's 97 is exactly the same.
Cheers
Rich
P.s. this is an old pic before I had the dash silvered

Cheers Scott, the FCD is about £100 new and the EVC was £220 2nd hand plus about 50 quid to fit. New they are 300 and odd. get it cranked up lad, you could be hit by a bus tomorrow!
Quite a few of my bits were 2nd hand, so I'm not just a tart, I'm a cheap tart too! LOL
