I don't think it's so much that the English get annoyed that the Scots don't support England, I think it's more that the Scots seem to make such a big deal about NOT supporting England and make a big deal about supporting the opposition. Why? Is it just to upset your neighbours?

There will always be fresh blood to carry this on as long as we reproduce. This will mainly come in the form of non-educated delinquents. And teenagers.
We've grown up now and like myself, you probably couldn't give two hoots and possibly never really have. The neds who insist on beating folk up for wearing England shirts should realise that you don't have to carry a poke of chips on your shoulder just to be passionate about your country. Or maybe they're just pissed off they're better at football than us?

I got some light-hearted "Booo's" when i walked to shop in my england shirt during the last world cup. Just banter. As was my reply about still being in the competition.

Perhaps the reason for it is that some people probably think of the whole of the UK as England, rather than remembering that it is actually a nation made up of different countries.
I don't give two hoots if a Scots lad doesn't want to support the English team, he can support whomever he likes, and I'd expect him to support his own countries team first anyway, plus if they go out, I'd not expect loyalties to switch to the English team.
Is there a similar situation with Rugby, or is this only applicable to Football? I've not followed Rugby for years, but when I did, I don't recall going to a pub to cheer on France giving the Scots a good pasting because England has been knocked out.

The best looking girl I ever went out with was Scottish Although, we were both living in Tenerife at the time, so we were both part of the Little Britain community out there. And she was from Edinbrugh, which as was pointed out earlier, makes her English. And before you ask, she was blonde, not a ginga. And, no. I don't have any pictures. 
As I've explained my reasoning, will you let me off, or do I have to go and find a much more attractive English girl to go out with to even things out?
