Gingers are a dying breed. The ginger gene just isn't strong enough to carry on anymore. My husband is ginger. Thankfully my son is fair haired like me.

it's all much like the england-australia thing. shared history. shared culture. shared language. shared commonwealth. shared queen. shared gripes. shared triumphs. huge, healthy competition and bond as a result.
(i don't default-support scotland in sport and don't expect scots to reciprocate for england. only under the increasingly tattered and dog-eared banner of GBR is it relevant. sadly seldom seen outside of athletics, rugby league and the british lions).
it's only a problem for a small minority of the immature, insecure and unpleasant on both sides. and they - along with some equally bigoted politicians - should frankly just c**k off and grow some pubic hair. i'd like to think i'm in the majority that enjoys it for what it is - a rich source of mutual pi55-taking.
kenny logan has a stupidly big chin. discuss.

Conversely, I would support Scotland in a competition where England werent playing (or where they were, up until they played England). Hatred of the English, by both the Scots and the Welsh; and blaming us for all of their ills, is desperately sad, but common place...

I'm with the hairy kneed, skirt wearing, booze swilling, sheep ********, ginger Celts on this.
I am quite adamant on the fact that I may be British, and happy to be so. But I am NOT English! I am a Guernseyman, born and bred. The Channel Islands are part of the UK, but not part of England. We have our own parliaments, laws, currency etc. However, a lot of people don't understand why I don't support England in it's sporting endeavours. If Guernsey were in Euro 2008, then I'd be supporting them, and friggin amazed! However, they weren't, so why should I feel obliged to support England? I actually supported France, seeing as it's only 21 miles away, and Holland, as they used to play in bright orange when I was a kid.
Besides, as we are the remains of the Duchy of Normandy, and William, Duke of Normandy, beat the ar$e out of you lot, we own you. So be nice to us Channel Islanders or we'll set Her Majesty on you.

In the old days of invasions, when the English invaded Tenerife, it was tradition that the losing side gave their flag to the winners.
In the case of the English invading Tenerife and losing, they came up with a cunning plan. They gave the Soltire (the Scottish flag to the uneducated on here) to the Canarians, rather than handing over England and the St George Cross.
Tenerife still flies the soltaire to this day as it's national flag. So infact, the Scots were all technically Spanish

I use my toes, it's easier, plus I put all my posts through Google's "Gurn to BBC English" Translator. I used to get my missus to check them all, but she's a Cockerknee spara, so you lot would be well stuffed.
