£13k New car suggestions

The only conclusive test on TG would be if the same driver ran the same cars on the same day and in comparable weather.
The std Focus ST lapped the Ring 10 seconds quicker than the old Focus RS which shows how far out the TG times are.

I wouldn't ever call Top Gear times "conclusive", they have a lax track layout at best and they use three different Stigs and test the cars in different weathers and different ambient temps/times of the year.

bmx 320d on about a 54 plate for approx £8.
Saves 5k plus the 3.5k you'll get for your scoob.
Then if you really need to you can get the bimmer tuned to approx 190bhp and a shedload more torque.
cheap to buy, cheap to run and cheap to insure with 4 doors and a semi reasonable image again.

Just had an 06 plated Superb offered at work. It's basically the last shape passat with a light restyle. Guy paid £18k fully loaded, now it's 14000 miles 2 yrs old worth £9000 px/£10000 retail
A passat would retain 50% after 3 years, but cost £2k more, essentially meaning the buyer wouldv'e been better spending more on a VW and retaining his residual. . . . .
Skoda is ideal if you keep a car 6 years+, because the residual isn't gonna matter as much at 6yrs+

BMW 330ci Sport Convertible
Family 4 door, that looks very
The diesel versions are practicle too, and around the 7.5 second mark to 60, ok not as fast as a scoob, but still not bad, considering the MPG youll get on average
Its what i fancy for my next car, if i had the dosh at this moment in time, id go check out this bad boy
BMW : 330ci sport 2dr convertible
Shame its done so many miles tho
