The sad thing is if you actually look at the BNP's core manifesto it actually makes a whole lot of sense..

The problem is that the rest of their **** trash means they will never get into power.

If we could get the BNP into power without the Skin heads it would be quite a good country again.

They might even allow us to put Christmas trees and decorations up again in public.. I know I know im a deviant :P

Bit of a strange comment. Considering Ireland has seen a massive inward investment over recent years especially from US firms, (helped considerably no doubt by a 12.5% corporation tax rate). Ireland from the figs I have seen has a higher GDP than Scotland despite not being oil rich.

A lot of the firms produce hitec goods and medical products. It's not all [sic] 'Guiness and stag nights to run it's counrty.'

Judging from the spelling and grammar above it has a better education system too

I was merely pointing out that Ireland is a comparable nation in terms of size, population etc. There is no reason we can't have a similar future, free of the shackles of West Minster.

Re. my spelling, grammar etc. That's what you get when fat fingering a laptop keyboard and generally not giving a monkey's if it's grammatically correct. I'll leave the perfect prose for my day job.

My tuppence:

Its ROAD TAX thats what its called ROAD TAX. You should pay for how many miles you do. Hey I've had a thought - the more miles you do the more petrol you use, simple.

I just don't get it, surely most old cars are more polluting than newer cars . I don't know how many times I've been behind an old bus, truck or old banger and have to turn the air to re-circulation in the car due to the fumes these heaps are kicking out .

Another example: I have a work collegue who owns an imported RX-7, which is heavilly modded to approx 550bhp, the thing kicks out pure petrol from the exhaust but he pays and will pay only £120 a year road tax - WTF .

A confused Wolfie.

Agreed it should be a pay by mile system, but that might upset 'Mondeo Man', weren't they key voters last time?

The problem with all these taxes, is that most of them end up in private corporation share holders pockets (due to the government trying to privatise everything). The quality of service goes down, the costs go up (hence them constantly trying to get more money from us) and yet they still persist down this route - utter madness!! Just look at the railways and and NHS cleaning contracts as two prime examples. If we were actually getting value for money and improvements, instead of making the rich richer, I might not be so pissed off about it!

If we all abondon our polluting cars and buy Sinclair C5s what happens to them?
Do we crush them all and bury them into the ground?

If we all sell our polluting vehicle then another person will end up buying it as long as it runs.

The fookin powers that be should stop the manufacturers producing them in the first place giving us no choice!
Where does the extra tax money go? Do we give it to the environment - i.e. tie it to some plants? No, Brown spends it on ****.

2001 is when Co2 emissions were introduced. I'd imagine it's a 'how long is a piece of string question' when it came to how far do you go back to give cars no longer in production a Co2 rating. The further you go back the more pointless it becomes.

i can see the point in upping new car because you have a choice to buy or not to but.. but to change something thats been fine from 2001 is rubbish, the car still pumps out 211 co2 its not going to change so why up the tax?? so just stiff every one for some cash to fill browns pocket thats all its doing, its like saying only OAP's 65 and over can drink alcohol at £2.00 a pint but everyone else has to pay £50 a pint cos of health risks, if this happend to country would shut down man!!!! no he stiffs people who have to pay, bend over and take it up the taile pipe and dosent even have the decencey to lube it first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just hoping there won't be an outright ban on pre-2001 cars soon. Or even, if they are taxed really heavily too.
