OH , AH , ah ,ouch ,eh ah ah
Did i upset you guys?
Yes you proberbly did pull 0.99 ONCE OR TWICE but the point being that some duck-egg tester for a mag did it in only a few goes with Bridgestones on if i remember rightly, so its capability is much much more dont you think?????
Anyway answer the question it is quite simple, what time can a 22b get around the ring???????????????????????
J
Oh by the way it is the best at what it does in that price bracket is it not?

slippy, I thought Sam was saying 350bhp. Even if we follow your argument and spent 5.6K on scooby mods to get it to 350bhp (and it would cost or else your engine would melt due to original internals), then you have to bear in mind he's only just done the tip of the iceberg in mod terms to the evo and you have thrown everything you can at the scooby.
They're both fun, just lets have a realistic argument

hi Dc911, this is a very difficult question to answer so check this thread it took me a lot of time to write it!!
maybe you can find some answers but with out getting away from the original thread, you can't really compare power at the wheels between different cars with different wheel sizes, gear ratios, diffs, acceleration, wieght, tyre pressure, combustion chamber shape, inlet temps, etc.. you get my drift
it is only power at the flywheel that could be compared however mine is off by a good 20-30bhp me thinks. based on the RC development cars getting 349 at 1.4 bar, evo 6 running 1.4 bar usually get 350bhp ( nearly the same engine but the 7 has a bigger intercooler and straighter exhaust).

Jason,
I have read many threads containing various contributions from you, but after this one I've just had enough.
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?
Nobody is disputing the excellence of the Evo, I know, I had one, but you're incessant confontational stance and childish comparisons are really wearing thin. You seem to be on an eternal crusade to discredit others' cars and 'prove' to all the undeniable supremacy of the Evo. Well, to be honest we don't care. You've had your say, you've made your point, we now know that the Evo is the best car in the world, so please, do us all a favour and go home. Your posts are like a scratched record, please, give it a rest. You really are soooo BORING!
If you believe the magazines, which you seem to do, then the new UK STI 7 has already won over most of the testers. Drivers' car of the year? They reckon it's the STI.
Get a life mate, get a life..
