ALDI are doing dynamo 1 litre kettles at the moment, heat your water for free.
They are next to the dynamo torches, and work in a similar fashion.

No, the pipe like handle goes from the base of the kettle to the lid, and you move a sheath/sleave up and down its length as fast as you can, a bit embarrasing actually.
Makes the saying come in for a cuppa, a bit more a apt.
I should imagine its a bit like starting a fire with a wet stick.

Didn't someone show that driving to the shops is more efficient than walking, because of the calories you have to eat to walk and the associated energy costs?
