If anyone dares to take that corner on to the main straight full throttle and it's damp deserves to keep the tyres they will no doubt collide into
Not long to go now

"Anyone brave enough to take the corner onto the main straight flat to the floor wins a round of applause and probable a trip to the local hospital (the fence is very close on the exit !)"

LOL, sounds like differentiating the different drivers as they go round the track is going to be a little tricky with everyone wearing black helmets.
Matt
P.S. I'll be wearing my black helmet too. Although mine has got some distinguishing flashes of colour.

****************** FINAL DETAILS ********************
[All subject to change if people drop out etc, but everything else is booked and fixed.]
Programme of details:
*********** NOTE NEW STARTING TIMES **********
- Sunday 17th February
- 2:30pm : Meet at Jordan Grand Prix headquarters, opposite Silverstone track, a few miles south of Northampton
- 3pm : Tours of Jordan factory including where the cars are built up, tested etc (in groups of 10)
- 4-4:30pm : Head over to Whilton Mill karting centre
- 4:30pm : 2 hour Endurance Kart Race, including free bacon butties
- 8pm : Off to The Mill House pub/restaurant near Daventry for food and drinks to celebrate/commiserate (optional)
Regarding the Factory Tour: this day will be an extremely busy one for the team, as it is the day before Silverstone testing, and also just a few days before everything is sent to the first GP in Australia. Not only that, but there will be an EJ12 (2002 car) around being prepared for the public unveiling a few days later, so there should be an opportunity to see it before it's unveiled formally! However, this means I'll have to do the tours in groups of 8-10, with a colleague helping me to increase the amount of time each group can get, and we'll be a bit limited as to what we can show you. Most of the Jordan GP team will be in working there so I'll need everyone's co-operation on this one as they're putting a lot of trust in me. I'm sure you'll all help me out
The day is getting official Jordan backing, with a report to be put on the Jordan web site and probably J magazine (the fan club mag) and a regular internal Jordan newsletter. This is getting BIG!
All in all, I reckon it should be a fantastic day - pray for nice weather!
For directions to Jordan, either use the postcode (NN12 8TJ) in an Internet map site (e.g. Streetmap), or basically follow signs for Silverstone circuit on the A43, a few miles south of Northampton. The entrance is exactly opposited the main Silverstone track entrance - you can't miss it.
For details of Whilton Mill (karting), look on their web site.
The Mill House pub and restaurant is a big pub/B&B on the other side of Daventry, with plenty of parking spaces and a large restaurant area which we will take over for the night (so I'm promised) It does a wide variety of pub and restaurant food, so it should suit all This place is now booked for 50 people but we should be able to accommodate a few extra on the day if any spectators want to pop down for the afternoon's karting and food. Menu to follow as soon as I receive it...
I have put everyone in a team now. If you don't like it or want to swap, just drop me an e-mail and I'll move you elsewhere.

Everyone above will get the Jordan tour. Anyone else is very welcome to join us for any or all of the day's proceedings, but please be aware that the Jordan thing is already full and I can't let anyone else go in as well. Sorry! Food shouldn't be a problem though.
The weather
No doubt the British weather will conspire to make it a cold, windy and wet day, so I'd like to suggest everyone brings several layers of warmth! The Jordan base is very exposed and most people will be outside for much of the time. The karting track is much the same so bring your Subaru jackets Also, I'd like everyone to wear (light) blue as I'm going to try and get Jordan guys to wear yellow race suits. Creates a bit of rivalry
From a purely procedural point of view (boring I know), I shall be issuing attractive Scooby name tags for everyone if they want them - though after the tour, as otherwise the Honda guys might think it was a conspiracy
Hey-ho, think that's it. Once again, note the slightly later starting time, get some team names to me and... well... see you there!!

I'll take it flat out for free beer later? Sounds like one of us will end up in hospital eh Neal! Heh heh..
Paul, have you decided on our team name yet?
By the way I too will be donning a black helmet...
