H&S have been very understanding and agreed to take the non silenced section back in exchange for the silenced one.
You should hear it above 4k... it makes your ears bleed whilst sounding allot like a motorbike.
The burble on a traditional impreza is sweet, but i've fallen in love with the JDM sound.

Yesterday i removed that crappy rear fog light and rewired it into both the left and right side tail lights.
There was a small crack in the passenger side tail light when i bought the car so with thanks to JimmyBFC on here i recieved a mint UK spec tail light.
On the Jap cars the round part closest to the bootlid are the sidelights and the center part does nothing. Brake lights are then the outer most part of the lamp.
My car now has fog lights in the centers and the brake lights and sidelights remain in the same place. Special thanks to my mate James for offering his assistance (he actually did all the work, LOL)
Rear end when i got it, now free from the small tail pipe, crappy fog light thing and some flaps fitted.
With fogs lights on (center part)

There is one street in particular which is narrow and the buildings are very high.. it does sound as though it would shatter glass.! (bmac800, down by woolworths)
last week i came though the town and and set off 3 car alarms within 200 meters in 4th at about 25mph.. Its not good. living in such a small town i'm just waiting for the boys in blue to nab me.
H&S... please let the silenced section turn up today. I'm also considering an apexi active tail pipe bung, rather clever design with no loss of power.

No tunnels but the best roads in Britain
Rob I know where you mean the girlfriend lives just up from Woolworths on that road - the pictures on the wall start rattling when you pass.

It wont be as loud as when Brian see me, the Hayward and Scott system I ordered came with a non silenced center, this has now been rectified with a silenced version.
Driving around town is slightly more sedate although the first trip up princess street after fitting still set 1 alarm off. (reduced from 3)..... but thankfully nothing has changed beyond the 4k mark.

For the others interested in my scooby development I have a set of chargespeed rear arch over moulds (like 05 STI's) on the way home. Will get them painted this week and fitted next weekend.
Also waiting on a price for a bottom line kit to be air freighted from Japan as there is no stock in the UK until Christmas.
Hopfully this Perrin group buy will happen soon as i need the 3 port solenoid for my remap.

How comes your STI doesnt have the rear arches? I though they were standard on STIs?

The cost of buying a 2005 rear bumper + standard arches was allot more than the chargespeed items which came in at a reasonable £175 delivered.
As you say quality is very good and fitment looks superb so i'm very happy.
