You're right. Mine was absolutely mint, so it ended up being mollycoddled under a car cover in the garage and only driven on 100% dry days, which defeated the object of owning it! I'd already got the T2 for that sort of behaviour. Still miss it though: I'd just about ironed-out all the niggles by the time I sold it!

I was offered a turbo in a swap for my integrale but I didn't take the guy up on it

Not that i'm biased, but I think the Renaultsport clios are great. Just as much fun as the Scoob.
Mind you, the trim on the B pillar is hanging off as we speak....but like the Scoob, that's not the point

Terrific: it always puts a smile on my face. Fantastic grip in the dry (don't try too hard in the wet though!). In-gear acceleration is strong when the turbo's spooled up, but don't forget it's nearly 30 year old technology so it's not going to outrun a turbocharged Impreza, but wouldn't be too far off the integrale.

The most exotic car owners I know would be KnobbySP1 who had a 355, then a 360 Challenge Stradale, and now a 430, as well as his 500+ BHP Bugeye and Ducati. HawkTheScoobSlayer went from a Bugeye STi to a Porsche RUF Twin Turbo pushing 565BHP and over 585 lb/ft (IIRC). SteveChaps had a Noble M12 GTO, and Dazza'sSTi had a highly spec'd Ariel Atom 300+. I am proud to say I rode in nearly all of them ![smug](images/smilies/smug.gif)
The nicest Integrale I ever saw was MadGrip's...

Getting back to exotics ... an uncle of mine, who posted here a couple of times years ago when his son wanted an Sti for his birthday, currently has the following garage (between him and his wife):
2007 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (his "daily" car)
2006 Audi A6 Avant Quattro (her "daily" car)
2004 Porsche 911 996 Carrera 4s (his "sports" car)
2004 Mercedes SL 500 (her "sports" car)
1992 Porsche 911 964 Carrera Turbo Look Cabriolet (the "beach house" car, owned since new, kept at the beach house)
Last I've heard the kids (both in their 30s) have:
kid 1 - Mercedes ML and Alfa GT
kid 2 - VW Tuareg and Audi TT
Unfortunately they are all, parents and kids, relatively "understated", so no chance of them buying Ferrari, Lambo, or other supercars ... on which I might get to have a ride. They find them too flash

And no, before you ask, they don't give anything to nephews such as me let alone to strangers from internet forums

Cheers!
Actually gets a very warm reception on the roads - people always giving it the thumbs up, taking photo's of it and generally passing comment on it.
Have to fill her up in the middle of the night as if you do it when the forecourt is busy its like getting bees away from honey.
