Yeah I'm all for him coming up with something, these pics are to just give him an idea of the kind of things I like. When I rang they said to bring some designs in with me. I'll be going in a couple of weeks

Ritchie, liking that VERY much. The timing of seeing this is spot on. Just spoke to my tattooist about my new piece too
Love the detail and size of the piece. It works nicely in black and white, personally I would say adding colour would require either a lot of colour, or should just be left as it is.
The quality of shading these days is fantastic, and almost eliminates the need for colour in some pieces (like yours)
Got any pics of it now its calming down ?
Mine has changed quite a bit now its all settled. Cant wait to go through it all again
Keep the thread going, I wanna see the outcome of this

Cheers! I'm loving it and am itching to get it finished. It's pretty much healed now to be honest but until I can get hubby to take another pic, don't have any to put up! Pretty awkward place to get a pic by myself!
Have to say I'm steering more towards colour at the mo, but I'm gonna wait til the shading has been finished before I decide for definate!
What are you thinking about having done?

My next one is all planned, just awaiting a start date from Heather

Wait a good few weeks and get used to it before thinking about colour, let it settle, and get used to it. Like I say, with something of that size and quality of shading, making colour look good will requite quite a bit.

Yeah I am. I know that tattoos aren't for everybody but hey it's my body and I love it!
He usually works on the basis of £70 per hour of tattooing but obviously that comes down if you're having a big piece done or are a regular customer. I've also sent a lot of people his way for tattoos too.

I paid 50 an hour for the last one. Some negotiations will take place this time round lol.
The bigger the tattoo's get, the more they cost eh....
Bring on the needles.

Well today was the day for getting the piece finished!! I'm so pleased with it!
I've decided for the minute to keep it as a shaded piece but I'm going back to have some touch up work one of the two on my back in November so can always add colour then if I want to.
Here it is, let me know what you think!

Uncomfortable and tender rather than painful really. Though the bits he finished off today at the bottom weren't a problem at all. It's the area over the ribs that's the worst but if you're chilled out then it's not a problem!

Thanks Jamie! Rather pleased with it myself!
Thanks Sal - did mention to Gavin you'd be popping in at some point - "cool" was his response! He's into his cars too - heard the Scooby when I arrived and came out to have a look at the car!
