Depending on the car, £900 + could be money very well spent, however, for the less fortunate ones among us, it's out of reach....

But, when people say they can;t believe the cost, they clearly have no idea what it costs top run a business.....
What with unit costs, insurance, electric, etc etc 3etc..... that price is pretty good value..... lets be honest, how many people do you know that would do something like this, and they clearly have big insurance to cover any potential accidents... insurance simply to be able to move expensive cars in and out of the unit is a big enough bill!!!

I think the point is it's 'only' on a 22B. If it was that level of detail and work carried out on a Ferrari for example most people would see the bill as part of the ownership cost to keep the car in near showroom condition.

Their website notes costs of between £295 + VAT & £895 + VAT. If it takes them a few days to sort out then £895 is no real surprise is it ...

I think thats a fair price - how much would it be for a full respray? that work as probaly added £800 to the value of the car if he was to sell it

I did a golf that was in that sort of state - didnt charge him £895 though

lol, what has running of the business got to do with it, their prices are way overflated. You could pay their top fee on a respray and get a pretty decent job done, ok not for the whole car, but a frontend respray is around the £500 mark for a decent job, and bodyshops have alot more costs to absorb than they do I would imagine. And I'm sorry but I don't care how good a polish/correction job they do, it will never be as good as a respray. You can't polish out a dent or a scratch down to the metal for example

You're right though, they've obviously angled their pricing towards wealthy owners, and if the owners have more money than sense, then good luck to them

^^ £90?!

It does seem high at £900 although their work is certainly top quality. I'd be OK at paying £2-400 for a few days work detailing my car. They do have to make a profit remember!

yes yes i understand the business economics of it! The point is, even taking that into account, their prices are extortionate!

Lol, you think what breaks down to around £35 an hour is a rip off, given the level of finish we achieve, the experience we bring to each job, the value we add to the cars we work on, and the fact that out of that £35 gets taken all of the overhead of running the business, then think again! To be fully insured to work on the cars that we have in costs £400 a month alone... then factor in the rent, rates, utilities, materials used, plus the thosuands invested in the right equipment, and you should then realise that £35 an hour is actually very reasonable! I live in a small 3 bedroom house and can't afford to own my own car - of course I'm ripping people off!

I think if you have the cash why not! the price isn't too bad considering they make it essentially a brand new car again! lol

My other half has got into all that detailing stuff and dragged me under!

I never knew sponges were so evil and one bucket just isn't enough.

Gave my Scooby a wash the other day and clayed it for the first time, it's amazing how much dirt comes off even after you've 'cleaned' it.

Shes bugging me to get a Megs G220 next so she can practice swirl removal.

When you consider the result is often better than a respray and they're clients are more than likely Ferrari drivers then the prices don't seem all that bad. If you take into consideration it takes about 3 days to fully detail the car thats two guys start to finish.... It's a fair old job!

It does look stunning, and TBH £35 an hour is what I would call fair to run a business (it's what I charge), It's just a shame it takes so long... If I could get a job like that done for about £300 I would get it done tomorrow.

Amazing job guy's, guess I'll have to keep dreaming.

I'd prefer to spend a grand on petrol driving it rather than polishing it like an Oscar
