WOW - that was hard work to get through - should've got myself a pen and paper for the math though

ITs a pain in the *** when things get stolen - some people just see opportunity where it shouldn't be knocking - theiving tw@ts.

However, I'm glad I now no what a theodolite (sp) is - however, wtf is "trolling"?

But what if 2 men dug the holes, and there were 8 troglodites? Would it take half the time?

Holes A is 60% bigger than hole C but 10% smaller than hole B
Hole B is 20 cubic meters
Hole C is 5% bigger than hole B

People are getting confused over how many theodolites you've actually bought

So you've bought Yr1 4 @ 15K; Yr7 4 @ 17.5K; Yr13 4 @ 18.5K; Yr21 4 @ 24K, one per gang and you have 4 gangs.

That's 300K over 22 years, now assuming a year on year inflation rate of 2% that would equate to 15K in 1985 = £28431 today; 17.5K +6years = £24553; 18.5K +6Years = £21962 and £24000 today, so in real terms (todays money) you've actually paid out £395,784 over the 22 years.

Not forgetting that spare unit in the shed, at whatever that cost

If I've got the number of units wrong you'll have to forgive me for being "thick"

can't you just poke your head over the fence at the pikey camp - note a number plate and report that one to the police as being the one on the Van?

Even if you don't get the theodolite back you'll get a laugh out of annoying the pikeys

I.e. much cheaper than renting 4 units for 22 years.

Thumbs down

I'm sorry to hear about this............. thieving tw@ts

Doubt you'll see that again, prob get offered round the local building sites for a round of drinks before ending up in a skip somewhere.
You'll have to get the lads to start chaining the tripod up to something, like I now have to do after my 5603 was stolen.

welcome to another chilled out scoobynet thread..

Bloody Gyps, they most likely didn't know what they were stealing.Because if they did they would of already knew that it's useless without the other piece of equipment that it needs to work correctly..unless the pikes already have the other bit of equipment for it.
I think a national millitary Boot camp run by Ex Servicemen/women would be better, like lads Army,or shove them in the effing Glass house .that will sort the yobs out..
