No one has mentioned one of the greatest Aussie bands ever - Cold Chisel, and then all the Jimmy Barnes stuff.

Other classic Aussie bands are Dragon, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, John Paul Young (Love is in the Air), Sherbet, Australian Crawl, Air Supply, Little River Band, John Farnham etc. Some crap there but they've all got at least one iconic Aussi song.

Powderfinger are big in Australia, absolutely love their stuff now! If they like their rock they will probably like this.

Neil Finn's the only kiwi in (original) crowded house. Paul Hester , Nick Seymour are both Aussies. Great band!

Definitely Midnight Oil for me!

I reckon the albums "Diesel and Dust", "Blue Sky Mining" and "Earth and Sun and Moon" are the the best 3 consecutive albums by any band.
